Itinerary: Day 1- Sikar - Village Devrala / Kolva. Arrival to Jaipur or Delhi, pick up from airport/railway or bus stand and drive straight towards Devrala and Ananthpura. Devrala village came in headlines in 1984 when a Rajput widow "Roopkanwar" decided to give up her own life at her husband's pyre and got named as a controversial Sati. Try hand at Pottery and Bangle making, meet other local artisans and interested people can visit Dairy Farm to understand the complete agri-value chain. Move to Kolva in the evening for a cottage stay
Day 2- Kolva – Narhet. After breakfast of fresh farm produce, leave for Narhet. A small village of landless artisans and labourers is now a sustainable village supported by Jaipur Rugs weaver relationship getting regular work for a large part of the population. Narhet offers great sight-seeing, trekking, and insight into two main vocations of weaving and leather shoes (Jootiyaan)
Day 3- Narhet - Bhangarh. Morning, leave for Bhangarh, an ancient town destroyed in a single night by a curse with a heavy stone shower. No building in the city stays standing, barring the three temples that miraculously survived the destruction. You can still see the walls broken to half their original sizes and presenting the city architecture like a cross-section view of a city cut in half. It is a “Protected Monument” and a place worth visiting when staying at Narhet for whom the reserve has a great lot to offer.
