Abad is a good hotel located in a prime locality. It has good rooms with nice view of the city horizon. The staff is polite and helpful and there are no swimming pools. The restaurant is also very good and serves excellent Kerala cuisine. It is located some distance away from the water front. Overall nice experience and very much value for money.
I made my booking there in advance and I reached there easily. This hotel was located at MG Road and it was one of the famous areas of this destination. Per day tariff was Rs 4000. Staff services and behaviour was fine and overall. Everything was perfect there. It was a 3 star deluxe property. Room was tidy and furnished. Any specific view was missing from my room. Multicuisine restaurant was available there. Check-in and check-out procedure was smooth and quick. Swimming pool was made on top floor. I visited Kochi by my personal car in the month of October for my business work I did not use transport of the hotel. Overall this destination is value for money and I can refer this hotel for other travellers.
The hotel is located behind Hotel Abad and the entrance is through a parking lot. The hotel does not have a compound and it is very difficult to take your car up till the hotel entrance. The restaurant does not have any variety The hotel cheated me on three occasions. I had a my plan and in dinner I said I want 'karimeen poli'. I specifically told that I want karimeen as the other fish they had was mahi which I had told them that I did not like. In spite of asking of karimen poli I was served mahi fish. When I called them they said I had asked for mahi. Their menu mentioned karimeen poli and there is no dish like mahi poli. In spite of this they served me mahi in poli preparation My package had two pieces of laundry free. Whenever there is such an arrangement every hotel makes the costliest items given for laundry everyday as complementary and charges for the balance. However the hotel did not follow this practice. They made the cheap items complementary and charged me for the costliest items. I had asked them for the draft bill at 10 am for my check out at 12 pm so that I could check this. In spite of pointing it out they did not reply and informed me there are looking into it till the time of final checkout. They intentionally delayed the matter and at the time of checkout informed that their system works like this I had taken snacks of Rs. 250 and cold drinks of Rs 40 from the mini bar, however at the time of checkout the final bill for the mini bar (with taxes) was Rs. 275 for snacks (10% tax) and Rs. 50 for the cold drink (20%). I asked how can they have different tax rates. And I was informed by Housekeeping that they charge taxes as per their discretion. I had to check-out and had no time to argue on the same The hotel actually cheats its customers and I recommend everyone to avoid the hotel.
One of the better hotels in Cochin city. Located on MG Road in the centre of the city and offers good service as well. The hotel has a coffee shop that opens out onto the main road and is crowded most of the time. The hotel serves excellent food and the buffet is worth every penny spent. The hotel staff are courteous and retrained. The hotel is crowded during the weekends. The rooms are very good as well.
Hotel location is good. You really feel you are in highly developed city with capsule lift inside. Swimming pool is at the top in different building. I enjoyed swimming in refreshing and crystal clear water. Food variety and quality is excellent. Staff is very co operative.
