Abad Turtle Beach, Alappuzha (Alleppey)
Mararikulam, Kerala 688523
The stay in the hotel Abad Turtle Beach was a good stay. The trip was with my family for relaxation purpose in the month of April 2015. The appearance of the hotel look like Kerala design was good. There was no delay in check-in and check-out. Staff service was helpful and friendly. The room allotted to me was good, clean and amenities were good in condition. The food provide to me was good in taste and many varieties were there. Activities were provided in the hotel. Tight security was there in the hotel. Butter fly garden view was good. Over all entire destinations was excellent.
The property is very well spread out and all rooms are in the cottage format. A lot of greenery in the property with beautiful gardens around. The rooms are very big and with a small veranda and hammocks attached. The bathroom was decent and the bathing area had an open roof which gives an awesome feel to it (specially on a full moon night). The hotel has its own private beach and this is one of the best beaches I have seen. The beach almost has a white sand feel to it. The dinner was decent and the breakfast was good. The swimming pool is close to the dining area and you can also have dinner besides the pool. The hotel had also organised traditional dance performance during the dinner time on the day of our stay. The hotel has a beautiful butterfly garden with loads of butterfly around. The hotel also has an organic farm which one can visit. The hotel also had a ayurvedic spa. Overall, a good property coupled with a clean beach makes it a good stay. I would recommend taking a room close to the sea. The sea facing rooms (2-3 in numbers) are the premium rooms. Other rooms also offer a partial view of the sea. Rooms near the spa and the reception are far from the beach. Also note that the hotel does not generally allow early check-in if you arrive early. We had to wait for quite some time before we got a room. Plus the beach timings are only from 7am to 7pm.
Hotel Abad Turtle is amazing when it comes to their location. Beautiful Cottages built around lush green environment and a private beach makes the experience completely different. In spite of the fact that their dining hall is relatively small as compared to their occupancy yet the food they offer is nice. Overall, this hotel is worth the money you pay.
Excellent place for mind and body relaxation. I travelled with my family including two kids, it's about 15 km from Alappuzha railway station, hire a cab from there. It's a village called Mararikulam, there is a railway station by the same name only where passenger trains have stops there, very near to the hotel. Hotel is ideally located away from all the noises and city life. There is lots of activities for kids. They have a private beach which were very neat and clean. They have about 15 acres of land filled with all kinds of trees and plants. They have a swimming pool and water is hygienic, kids enjoyed it a lot. You can go for fishing and I have tasted the sweetest mango from there garden. They have a in-house restaurant. Every thing is perfect except the food they serve. Breakfast is complimentary, just OK apart from that a perfect family getaway destination..
Awesome location and beautiful rooms are the best things about the Abad Turtle. The Only thing bothers us is the lack of delicious food and they have to improve on it. The maintainance service was poor but the pool was clean and enjoyable. The walkable distance to beach makes u to stay pleasantly. A perfect place to relax and spend time for enjoyment
