It was a good hotel. They charged Rs. 3000 per day including breakfast. It was located at 4 km distance from the town. It was away from the town. It is famous for spices and coffee. Appearance wise. It was very nice. It was a comfortable and relaxing place away from the city. Staff was not required there because everything was available in the room. Swimming pool was there. Rooms were spacious and clean. No view was available from there. Hot water facility for 24 hours was available there. I had food there. Quality of food was nice. They provided campfire in winters and they also have playing area for kids. It was more than better. Madikeri as a place is very good. Location of the hotel was also very good. Appearance wise, it was good. Booking and front office people were very good. There was no room service. Housekeeping was good and on time. Food was also good. Room was very good. No suggestion is needed. I will recommend it to other tourists.

This hotel was a good place. It was an isolated area. The hotel was located very near to the coffee plantation. The staff members were kind and helpful. Appearance of the room was very good. Rooms were well maintained, clean and tidy. There was view from the room. All amenities were in working condition, the food was good, there is only vegetarian food provided in the hotel. If we request they will get from outside. The hotel is value worth. The only suggestion is to provide Non Veg food. There was no delay in check in and check out. There is swimming pool and there is no GYM.

The rooms were spacious, clean and neat, there is no view found from the room. There is no delay in check-in and check-out procedure. The amenities were good. Parking facilities available. When I visited Madikeri then I stayed in Abbydhama Estate Home Stay. My overall stay was nice. I booked my room on line. Ambiance of the hotel was nice. Surrounding of the hotel was fantastic. Staff behavior was helpful and friendly. Staff manager and housekeeping services were nice. Food facility was available there and it was delicious. Veg food was available there. Cab facility was available there. I will recommend this hotel for travelers. Everything was nice. This home stay was value for money. Madikeri as a destination place is wonderful. Booking and front office peoples were very nice. It was an old bungalow type cottage. Rooms were superb and all basic amenities were available. Nothing was available in activities. I traveled there with my family for relaxation in the month of November 2011.

I stayed here with my wife for two days and it was really a good place. They have three types of accommodations halemane (old house), hosamane (new house) Henchu mane (hut house). Each one of them have different prices. They have provided all the required facilities which is really good. Whatever the photos we see in their website are correct photos.

The owners are really cooperative and personally take care of guests if any help is required. Food was really excellent we never felt to go out for food the quality taste were really good. Hosa mane is fantastic, the rooms are big and very modern. The balcony had coffee plant view which is excellent. We roamed and took enough snaps in estate almost for half a day. We can spend one day easily in estate itself. All the accommodations are in b/w coffee plantations which is excellent.

Over all its superb home stay.

My stay in this hotel was very nice. I stayed there for 2 days. I went there with my friends. Atmosphere was nice. I liked the people very much there. They were very cordial. It is located 4 km far away from the city. We travelled there by our own vehicle. It was quite difficult to stay because you have to go outside for everything. Location wise, it was peaceful and just for relaxation. Activities like badminton court, swimming pool, etc. were available there but they were chargeable. Room was good. They charged Rs. 2000 for a room. Room service and staff service was very good. Reception people were good. They were very cooperative. Appearance wise, it was also good. Location of the hotel was average. Food and drink was also average. Veg and non-veg food was available there. Activities were average. Campfire was there. It was very average place. I did not like that much. This place is not for enjoyment but it is a nice hotel for relaxation in peaceful environment. This was my relaxation trip. There was a scope of improvement in food part.

I chose this place since it was near to town and I could savour the local cuisine while staying here. After staying here, I can say that it is not worth the price as a lot of housekeeping issues we encountered. The service is also not upto the mark for the price that you pay. The cook was able to provide only with potato pakoras in the evening and didn't have anything else to offer. On the second day when we wanted something to eat (that was a friday), the cook was giving excuses that he could make only potato pakoras and that too would take him 30 mins and that he had a lot of work to do since it was the day vegetable marketing was done. The room cleanliness leaves much to be desired as the bathroom lower tiles were dirty and the light fittings in the room had cobwebs. The housekeeping didn't clean the room on day two and we had to ask them to do it when we came back in the afternoon around 4pm. The dinner spread is nothing to boast about and practically no local food variety in it. The only good part of the food was the breakfast as it had a good variety in terms of the local food. I would recommend people to choose a standard hotel in the city instead of the homestay kind of places as one would have to encounter such issues which I have mentioned above.

Excellent place with good food and hospitality. Enjoyed with sandy, rakesh, Jnan, rads, ishi and krithi. A memorable stay. It was a basic home feeling and specially the breakfast served is incomparable with any hotels. The puliyogare was awesome and still mouth watering.
An evening besides the swimming pool is to be cherished always in the chill weather. A long walk in the midst of coffee plantation was relaxing from the hectic schedule.
If anyone wants to enjoy the nature, ambiance and affection, don't ever miss Abbydhama!

We planned a sudden trip to Coorg as we had a long weekend on the cards. Since it was a long weekend many corporates had already booked known hotels out there in Coorg and we were left to mercy of testing a new homestay. Abbydhama was recommended by one of our relatives as they had been there once. Booking process was super smooth and the owner kept updating the status of room availability. Their hospitality is very good and they make sure we are comfortable in all ways possible. It was amidst coffee estates and was very peaceful.
