Agra is a nice holiday destination but is always crowded. Grand Hotel has the locational advantage - cantonment area - very peaceful surrounding unlike most other hotels situated in the center of the city. But finding an auto would be difficult if you don't have your own vehicle. The restaurant staff is somewhat rigid - not ready to support special food requirements. Slightly overpriced compared to what it has to offer.

Best Experience: The location - peaceful surroundings.

Worst Experience: No privacy - corridor like balcony.

It is a very average Hotel. Okay for a 1 night stay, but there might be better options near Taj. Good Points : Room was clean Food quality was good (but overpriced) Location is close to station (1km) and 4 km from Taj They provided complimentary pick up from station, and the same driver provided us early morning drop to station at 5.30am (charged Rs.150/- for the same) For local sightseeing, you can approach the same driver, who was always available on time (charged us Rs.750/- for Agra fort and Taj Mahal pickup and drop)

Best Experience: I did not had any best experience as such.. but yes, room was clean and food was good!!

Worst Experience: Bad points : About the room- It was very basic. Room had only one small window, that was packed with AC and some wooden packing, so no view nothing. The curtains were of cheap quality. May be they allotted us a Standard room, where in we had paid for Deluxe Room. If that is the case, then it shows that they don't have a proper system in place where you mention customer's bookings in advance. We did not bother much to fight on this standard or deluxe thing, as most of the time we were out of the room. The TV had very limited channels, as they have not opted for any paid channels, and half of the time was spent in searching for which channels are coming. Washroom was clean, but the Tap water was very salty, you can not even use it for brushing your teeth. Restaurant- Restaurant has no ambience at all. Also no other shops/restaurants near to this hotel hence you have to depend on them, and they do not even serve Phulkas for young children, hence you have to give them roti/Naan made of Maida. But otherwise, food taste was good. Room Service- Room service throughout the day was ok, but don't expect any service after 10pm. I wanted to have glasses and cups after 10 pm for pouring milk for my son, and I had to call them 3 times, still I did not get the same and had to manage without it. Checkout was not smooth- Things are not organized at all, they need to be more professional in managing the bookings. We had to remind at the time of check out that, we have paid 50% advance and are entitled for some discount for food as per our package. The person at reception had charged us entire amount in spite of paying 50% advance before check-in. So ensure that your bill is correctly prepared.

I stayed for one night with 24 family members. I was delighted with the services.

Best Experience: One of our senior citizen was immediately adjusted with the room at ground floor without any hassle.

Worst Experience: No such. Only our bus could not be parked in the premises

The most impressive thing about the place were its lovely lawns. The experience was not great partly because we went on 22 April and Agra was HOT. Staying indoors is not my idea of fun anyway. The quality of furniture was not great. What was good was the additional cot for the kid.

If your just looking for a stop gap while travelling in this culturally rich city its the right place.The rooms are average, food is good,service is also good, there\'s not much to look forward to in the hotel per se.
