Aguada Beach food, sight-seeing and shopping options
There are no food joints around the beach, mostly to keep the beach clean. However, there are good restaurants in and around Taj property. But why would you want to go to eat if you are at the beach...

Hotel Review of Taj Holiday Village
Comments: The hotel itself is lovely it gives you a nice holiday feel as each room is a villa. Walking around itself is great fun. The rooms itself are alright nothing great but adequate. There are lots of things to do sitting near the sea, swimming walking plus they have many many activities to keep oneself engaged. The entire 3 day trip we had was very relaxing and we left feeling we had a wonderful time. If you have children especially I would recommend staying in this hotel rather than a south goa hotel as this hotel is much more child friendly and seems to attract more families with kids. The hotel is also close to the north goa beaches of Calagute and Baga which are a must visit.
Best Experience: The staff and levels of service here are excellent and very small need is taken care of. For eg The person cleaning our room noticed that my daughter liked bananas so each day our fruit basket was full of bananas. Each member of the staff is well trained and seems to want to go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would say if you have kids, or any special needs this hotel is the places to go and its highlight is service, service, service.
Worst Experience: Nothing that comes to mind but the beach at this hotel is almost non-existent. Dont know whether this was because of the monsoons or the ship stuck near the hotel but if your thinking of spending your whole day on the beach this place is not the one atleast during the monsoons. They have a wonderful deck besides the sea at the Caravella restaurant from which one gets a sea spray and view of the sea.

The property is maintained very well and is any day better that Taj Fort Aguda but the quality of food is very low and the service is not upto the Taj standards. We had stayed in Inter Continental earlier and were bowled over by their service. However, its worth one visit plus u get to use the facilities of Fort Aguada as well. Pls note that the hotel rates have gone up and its not Rs 6000 any more....

Hotel Review of Taj Holiday Village
My wife and I went for a 3n/4d stay at the taj village and it was great. It's based in north goa, it was off season time (July) and therefore the rates were about 1/3rd of the regular season rates. It's all cottages, renovations are on so some aren't available, but it is a fantastically well maintained property. Mind you, it's monsoon time, high tides and so no beach access but even then, Goa, and this property, is beautiful, green...

Stayed for 3Nights through an off-season package, which is great value (around 1/3 the season rates). Very Kid friendly with tons of activities to keep the kids busy (Rappelling, Rope Crossing, Arts, Drama etc.) and staff are great with kids....

Goa is another creation of God for mankind. The scenice beaches and hapyy faces of the locals with good food is more that anyone can ask for. A holiday to Goa reminds you that you are still young at heart and lots more to enjoy in life. With this spirit, we set off on our train journey from Bangalore to Goa. On arrival we took a cab to from Madgaon to Taj Village resort / Fort Aquada. Both the proerties...

Hotel Review of Taj Holiday Village
Our family of four (includes our two children) started off from Calicut, Kerala by car to Goa around 1000Hrs. We had a leisurely drive visiting folks in Noth Kerala and Mangalore and then on to Goa. The roads start deteriorating after Mangalore and the stretch from Mangalore to Surathkal is pure misery. In fact, the drive upto Kundapur from Mangalore is not recommended. At times, we wished we had flown or taken the Konkan Express. However the little asides, like...

I had a truly wonderful and relaxing vacation. The Taj Village has beautifully landscaped gardens, large and spacious terracotta-roofed cottages which have recently been refurbished into plush rooms with plasma TV's and spacious bathrooms. I ate in all the interesting restaurants on the premise, The Caravella, and the Banyan Tree which were both very good. The pool was well maintained and the attendents were always ready to assist you.Due to the monsoons and high tide , the beach remained closed,...
