We (me and my wife) were planning on celebrating our first wedding anniversary at Mysore and after a lot of deliberation, we decided to zero in on Aishwarya Suites. I made use of the online booking feature and went for their top end Elegance Suite. The check-in time was 9 am and after calling in they confirmed that early check-in would only be possible if rooms are available. Now on the day of arrival, we got there at 7:15 am, I was told to wait in the lobby as the hotel was full and that I can only check-in after 9:30. From their attitude, I got the feeling that since I had booked in already, chances of cancellation are minimal and thus not much care was necessary. After waiting for a bit, I asked the reception if there was any spare room for us to just get fresh so that we could have our breakfast. He directed us to the upstairs staff quarters. Again, not impressive in my opinion. There was bound to be a better offering. Now I will go directly into the pro's and con's segment. Pros:- 1. Decent room. Though small in size, the room and the bathroom are quite elegantly designed. The ambiance is pleasing. 2. Good Wi-Fi connectivity. Cons:- 1. Since the rooms are closeby and extremely congested, you can clearly hear everything that is happening down the hall. Unless you are fortunate, you will have to listen to the wails of children or the hails of vacationers. Neither are pleasant and it can be a task to sleep. 2. It is quite far off from the city center and if you prefer to use the local transport, this can be quite a pain for you. 3. Room service is super low and though the reception is quite responsive, communications are not understood easily. We had to wait for half an hour for 2 cups of tea and on the second day, they got confused with our order for breakfast. 4. The availability of hot water in the evening is questionable. You may get it or you may not. Definitely not 24 hours. 5. The toiletries that they so love advertising are a flimsy soap and a shampoo. I asked for an extra soap and it was not provided. Another main issue that I need to mention is that while I had booked online, I had added their "chefs fresh cut fruits" to my order. They completely forgot about it and I had to remind it to them on the eve of my departure. They informed us that it will be taken care off at 9. 30 am the next day. I told them that I had to check-out the next day and that I would prefer to cancel the order. But the guy at the reception insisted on us having it. Anyways I received the fresh cut fruits at 9:30 exactly when I was locking my room for vacating. I told them to pack it up for me and the best they could do was put everything into a plastic cover (Yuck! ). This was not the memorable stay that I had hoped for. Anyways it is quite a decent hotel with decent service. My suggestion would be to not book online and if doing so, not to opt for any extras. Also if you prefer to travel by local means, look for hotels closer to the city bus stand.
Goods:-Rooms are very clean -The hotel has Wifi with manageable internet speed -Since ours was an online booking , we got the room at very good price. So would recommend Online booking. -Because we booked it Online , we got a complementary welcome drink at the check-in. -We had opted for AC room of two people, which was clean with no bad odor. - The room also comes with a kettle, a intercom to call reception and an All-Out mosquito liquidator. -The AC was a half ton one which was sufficient for a room of this size. -Bathroom was clean too with a washbasin, shower area and a commode. The bathroom also had a wall mounted hair dryer, which I loved the most. - Food : We just ordered couple of cups of Coffee. The service person took about 10mins , which was fine. The coffee tasted good, if not great. Bads:-Room we were given was not very spacious. It was exactly 9ftx10ft(excluding bathroom) and a wardrobe mounted into the wall. Ugly:- We called up reception to check if they have toothpaste , we were told they will send a person who can buy from outside if he is given the money, noon turned up for 15-20mins, finally I went out and bought the same. - Sometime later in the night by 10PM , someone knocked the door, it was a service personal who had brought a bottle of packaged drinking water. He had got confused between the rooms and had brought that to us, even though we did not order the same.
The hotel was very nice. I was comfortable with the room allotted to me. It was clean and well-decorated but not so spacious. All the amenities were working fine which were provided in the room. There was no special view provided from my room. The washroom was neat and clean the hotel was a little far from the Railway Station. The staff were courteous and polite. Pick up and drop facility was provided by the hotel. The sightseeing places were very near to the hotel. The receptionist staff were very good and helpful. I was happy with the food quality and the price was also not so expensive. I didn’t observe any extra activities conducted by the hotel. The hotel did not arrange sightseeing trips, but they guide the tourist. Wi-Fi facility was also provided there. I don’t have any suggestion for the hotel development. I had a very great experience in the hotel and I will recommend this hotel to other travellers. It was a very nice place to visit.
We stayed in this hotel during last summer May 26-30, Our Experience with the Staff and the Manager was very good and they were very co-operative, our 4 year kid was very comfortable during the stay, off course my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Aishwarya suit. Though we organized the sight seeing and other place visit of our own, the 1st day hotel people offered their best support and inputs to utilize our day to the full extent. The next day the outing was organised by the hotel manager and he himself customised the day trip according to our interest, and the driver was very co-operative. We had a wonderful outing and stay in Aishwarya Suit and the service was very good. I would strongly recommend Aishwarya Suit to my family members and friends and the readers who read this review. Regarding food, my kid was very sensitive and when we discussed with the manager he suggested us to take it from the very near by Kamat. Just opp to Aishwarya suit. More over all the place of interest inside Mysore are very near by the hotel is a big advantage for whoever stays in this hotel. The other Aishwarya hotel is just adjacent to the Mysore bus stand. Fortunately we were in a position to pre-pone our check-out one-day in advance and the hotel management was very decent enough to return back the amount, which we didn't even expect from them. I appreciate the management for provide such a good hospitality and wishing them a good success to continue their services. We are also planning for one more trip to Mysore and other places we will definitely be staying in the same Aishwarya Suit with few of my other family members.. Thanks.!
I had visited this hotel for personal purpose. The overall experience was good in the hotel. I went to this hotel by my own vehicle. The parking facility was available at the hotel. The hotel was located in the centre of the city. The hotel building was new. The garden was not available at the hotel. The hotel appearance was good. I had booked this room by online. The check in and checkout was done on time. The allotted room was neat and clean. All basic amenities were provided in the room. The washroom was neat and clean. The complimentary breakfast was provided by the hotel. The activity was not conducted at the hotel. I would not suggest anything to this hotel.
