Ajrara is a village that located on the banks of River Kali Nadi, which flows through the Kharkhoda Tehsil in Ghaziabad. The village derives its name from the temple of Ajaipara. The Thakurdwara Temple, constructed by Yogi Ajaipal, is one of the prominent tourist attractions.
The Ajrara style of tabla playing is believed to have originated here. It is believed that the founder brothers, Miroo Khan and Kallo Khan, spent a lot of time learning this art form in the nearby city of Delhi. They took guidance from some of the popular Ustads of the time, before returning back to their home, Ajrara.
