Hotel Review of Coir Village Lake Resort
Comments: i visited this hotel in the month of december.the hotel is pictureous but as the saying in marathi goes'DISTEY TASE NASTEY'(the truth is always very different than what it looks like).i was a bit frustrated by the hotel.the rooms are not well equipped(tv remote was not working,ac was noisy,shower was leaking,bathroom smelly..) there is no room service.also the road to the hotel is not a tar road...so many problems..
Best Experience: not any
Worst Experience: the restaurant waiter took 35 exhausting minutes for serving bisleri water on our (me.husband and my 2yr daughter) table.

After a wonderful day and night spent on the houseboat in Allepey, the long-ish drive to this resort was quite boring....but when we reached it we were pleasantly surprised, to say the least. This resort is in a picturesque setting with serene backwaters flowing around it and the neat compact rooms made it a fabulous experience. The resort is a small but picturesque resort on an island. The setting is too good to be true. The fact that you have to take a boat ride to the reception & back to the room adds to the experience. The canoe ride on the lake is simple breathtaking and if you are lucky you might just catch the rare white eagle....

The place is basically meant to be lazy. There is not much to do there except taking a canoe ride in the evenings and oil-massage. There isnt too much open area to take a walk either. Having said that, we (a 31 year young me, my wife and my 6 year old son) really enjoyed our 30 hours stay there. As it is said "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" this place is a true beauty. I wondered why people rate the month of September as "Offseasion" in this part. To me this was the season to be.
