Alappuzha (Alleppey) food, sight-seeing and shopping options
All meals (Lunch,evening snacks,dinner,brkfst) are served on the houseboat. Make sure u tell your preference (veg/Non Veg/White Rice)atleast 24hrs in advance. If you want to add soup/salad to your meal then you can buy these from shops and give it to your chef. plan & buy these from your city as i didnt find any shops nearby the boat jetty. The food was served ontime and we found the quantity to be adequate. I would not rate the quality to be of great standards but I would it was manageable. If you are travelling around summer, then make suer you buy cool drinks and stock them in the kitchen (they have ice boxes). There was a sumptuous big fruit platter which served us till the last lap of our cruise. If you are a sea food lover, you would enjoy the fresh catch from the backwaters as they go directly from the waters to the kitchen for frying !

Hotel Review of Lake Palace
Comments: I had gone to this resort in the month of Sept.. In fact a freind of mine suggested me this place when I asked him where should we go for our office offsite.. In all we were 30 people from our office.. It was more of a pleasure trip rather than business.. We left on friday evening since it was a working day we caught the Deccan flight (which normally takes off late) & reached Kochi airport at 11 in the night. We had booked a bus & reached at 1 in the night.. (2hr drive from the airport) The staff was very nice had had kept dinner for us which we all enjoyed.. The resort is located in the backwaters of Alleppey.. I am attaching the link of the same for you all to have a look.. The food was also very good.. The only disappointment was the DJ which they had booked for us.. he did not have the latest #s but still we enjoyed our 2 night stay there.. The place is very nice for anyone wanting to relax ..just laze around the boat & njoi the backwaters. www.lakepalaceresort.com
