Alibaug food, sight-seeing and shopping options
the Kolaba fort which is around 700-800 meters away from the beach is walkable during low tide.....tide timings approximately are 3pm to 6pm its definitely low tide n morning time around 12pm is definitely high tide.... at the fort itself there are some amazing views of the sea and otherwise just ancient broken down architecture n one beautiful temple..... try ur best to go to the beach during low tide so u cn walk 2 the fort as it is more fun rather than taking a horse cart ride which charges 160 for two ppl for a return trip and a hour of time at the fort itself... nothing to shop as such but things are cheap there..... there's even one big reebok showroom with gr8 discounts

Hotel Review of Doctors Farm
Comments: The resort is the worst one I have ever been to. The rooms are untidy, the loos are far away from most of the rooms, the water in bathrooms and loos is muddy and the food too is not all that great. Please avoid this place
Best Experience: We just played football outside in the small open space that this resort has. Dr. Mirajkar had make us build great expectations about fishing at the river. But we were dispointted to see that there were no fishing rod, it was just a broken twig for one of the trees with a nylon string. Believe it or not, there was no hook on the other end of the string.

We were taken to a nearby waterfall which was the only good thing about our trip.
Worst Experience: The rooms were smelly and the water was muddy and loos were bad. And when these things were pointed to the owner, he just shrugged off saying that this ain't a resort yet, it's his farm and is in the process of making it into a proper resort - an activity that will take 4-5 yrs.

Ok so be it.

This should be the last place that you'd wanna go in kolad.

P.S: There could weird insects and reptiles visitng you duriing your stay here

Hotel Review of Doctors Farm
the farm is beautifully located amidst lush greenery and the Kundalika river flowing around it. However, the farm house itself leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are too unkempt. There is an absence of open space in the green outdoors where children can play. The common hall is crammed with furniture and coupled with the poor quality of rooms, ant thoughts of peaceful afternoon siestas were out of the question....
