Alibaug food, sight-seeing and shopping options
the Kolaba fort which is around 700-800 meters away from the beach is walkable during low tide.....tide timings approximately are 3pm to 6pm its definitely low tide n morning time around 12pm is definitely high tide.... at the fort itself there are some amazing views of the sea and otherwise just ancient broken down architecture n one beautiful temple..... try ur best to go to the beach during low tide so u cn walk 2 the fort as it is more fun rather than taking a horse cart ride which charges 160 for two ppl for a return trip and a hour of time at the fort itself...
nothing to shop as such but things are cheap there..... there's even one big reebok showroom with gr8 discounts

Hotel Review of Ghanvatkar Bunglow
Comments: My family of three had a good time in the resort , Sevice and food was the highlight of our stay. Near by beach of Awas is the best and vergin beach in and around Alibag along with the Kihim beach.
Best Experience: Food and service at the bunglow was the best I experienced in many years, The personal touch of ghanvtakars hospitality will even beat some 5 star resorts.
Food was delicious with the coastal maharashtrian variety for both veg/non veg.
They never cease to surprise you with different delicasies for lunch and dinner.
