Overall a nice choice for a family stay & good facilities. A quiet & serene beach nearby. The hotel is away from the main city. It has a good kids play area which keeps them occupied. The staff is courteous & helpful. The property is well planned & relaxing.

Top Reviews of Alila Diwa Goa
When ever I feel frustrated from daily hasslement of life experiences. I was always in search for cooling down & recharge myself, so I always plan to spend summer holidays with my friends. There is no other place than the Goa to enjoy & chill out with friends. That's why we 2 friends in the month of May decided to spend summer holidays at Goa. It is the most important thing to decide & choose proper hotel to uplift our Goa planning. So we searched online & found a classic name of hotel "Alila Diwa Goa". The name itself is different & suits to Goan culture. We booked hotel & eargerly awaited to visit Goa. We reached Goa by train & arrived hotel, which is situated in Southern Goa at Majorda along Gonsua beach. This is what makes more excited. The natural location of hotel itself is important to enjoy Tremendous views. Along with natural sand hotel seems surrounded by Banyan, Peepal and Mango trees. We entered the hotel & got surprised by spectacular warm welcome by hotel staff, a welcome gift for every tourist from hotel. The luxurious design of hotel appeared to be specially designed. This hotel has big variety of offering to stay as Terrace Room, Family Terrace Room, Loft Room, Family suite, Alila Suite, Diwa Club room, Diwa Club suits etc. We chose Alila Suite to stay. When we entered in suite & found most spacious designed suite, pretty luxurious, in line with Goan tradition, situated with a views over the infinity pool & paddy fields. The AC suite having king size bed, big bath tub in wide bathroom, 40" LCD with satellite channels, free WiFi access, private terrace, Electronic safe, wardrobe & some other small facilities. With our 4 days with this hotel we found many wondering experience to tell, most likely is the restaurants dinning facilities the Alila Diwa offers. It has total four varieties to offer, starting with Vivo Restaurant having delicious mix of Indian, Oriental Continental foods. All type of variety in breakfast, lunch and dinner. Indian or Western their long menu dedicated to provide you gourmet food. We enjoyed special Goan lobster curry here, along with chicken vindaloo which are favourite dish of restaurant. Second restaurant is Spice Studio which is especially to serve food with Indian traditional spices, so again our enjoyment is high with it. Third is Bistro offers a wide selection of light meals with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences complimented by an extensive selection of fine beverages. The fourth is Edge bar & lounge to enjoy snacks & beverages drinks of all international quality. After the food there is another beauty of service by this hotel is Spa. The Spa Alila Offers you Ayurvedic & totally relaxing treatments. We enjoyed Spa services for 3 days & believe me they are trademark of this hotel. I will not forget chilled shower & private jacuzzi added a cool experience to my life. Apart from above facilities Alaila Diwa provides us some other facilities like Diwa Club, Leisure Concierge services, Kids Club & teen zone, Privatised mini theatre to enjoy movies, library, Alila living boutique, Complimentary beach shuttle to reach Gonsua beach. These all impress you & add on to experience with hotel. The most important & commendable is the clever friendly committed hotel staff, which is in service for you 24*7. The humble service for every thing you ask, they solved all of our problems if any and they make all arrangements for you. They provide all information to you about Goan culture, visit places, foods to enjoy & shopping too. So all in all we found the classic Diwa experience with hotel " Alila Diva", really an unforgettable, unparalleled holiday experience in my travelling odyess of life. I really recommend this hotel to Tourists.
Right from the airport pick-up to final check-out our stay experience in Alila Diwa was splendid and left us feeling completely pampered and taken care of. This was our second holiday with our one year old daughter and we wanted a super comfortable stay for her which she could enjoy thoroughly. While searching for hotels in south Goa my main selection criteria was proximity to beach, service of the staff, kid-friendly hotel facilities and so on. Alila Diwa delivered greatly in all aspects. First of all there property itself is huge and tastefully done. It has a rustic old world charm about it and yet it is a very modern design in many ways. The rooms are quite spacious and super clean with all amenities. Initially we selected the terrace rooms but eventually after seeing the Diwa section got ourselves upgraded to a Diwa room, which was slightly pricey but worth the money as it had much more space for my over-active one year old to run around and play :) The pool area is well maintained with a clean and neat shower room, great view of green palm trees and a decent staff who are willing to cater to your needs. Coming to the food we were greeted every morning with a grand spread of breakfast buffet in the Vivo restaurant with a lot of seating area and once again super courteous staff! Kids play room is also very well stocked and nicely maintained. Lots of interesting toys and games and books for children of all age groups. Majorda beach and sunset beach both are very near the hotel. For Majorda beach they even have a shuttle service which plies quite frequently. Velsao beach and Colva are in some distance but again not that far. Just a couple of things which the hotel didn't deliver up to my expectations were: - Room service food doesn't have many options. - There was some renovation going on in the Diwa section during our stay, so that was a spoiler as there was noise and disturbance during the day time which spoiled the overall experience. But I am not complaining much because it was off-season when we visited so the most suitable time for the hotel people to carry out their renovation stuff.
We had booked Alila Diwa Goa for our honeymoon & it was the best decision we could have taken to make our stay special and luxurious. We had opted for Standard Terrace Room. And we were treated with the most quite room with awesome view. Room was fully equipped with all amenities & toiletries. Highlight of the room was large bath tub & rain shower. The hotel staff welcomed us with cold napkins & kokam cold drink. Our room was well decorated for a honeymoon special and were surprised with fruit cake. Alila Diwa is well spread luxurious resort at 500 meters distance from Gonsua beach. Buggy rides are provided to the beach which has all water sports activities. Infinity pool was our favourite spot in the resort. Breakfast at the VIVO was very delicious & widely spread buffet. There were a lot of vegetarian & non vegetarian options available to tickle our taste buds. In hotel dining options are a bit expensive but there are a lot many cheaper options just after you step out of the resort. Fishka, The Camron being the best ones serving lip smacking sea food, Goan & Portuguese delicacies. Only turn down, is the distance from South Goa which takes a quite a while to travel to happening places like Calangute & Baga. Also, considering a 5 star property, Alila Diwa should provide complimentary airport pick up & drop transfers. Overall, an awesome experience & a luxurious stay at Alila Diwa.
A perfect hotel for the honeymooners. Before entering the resort you will not guess the depth and amenities provided by the resort. The reception itself is grand and is a marvellous structure created with Bessalt stone and frames. The rooms are cosy with Open bathroom which can be separated with wooden sliding doors. The interior works on the low light concept which gives a romantic feeling all the time. The bathroom is luxurious with all the modern amenities. The resort has a big conference hall and can accommodate 125 persons. The swimming pool has a attached bar and is perfect place for the couples. The resort has 2 restaurants one offering the lavish buffet and the other one offering exotic sea food dishes. The resort is separated in two parts one being the normal room and other being the luxurious Diwa Wing with separate continental restaurant and a Swimming Pool. The resort also has amenities for children and a amphitheatre for watching movies. The resort doesn't have a beach access but has a arranged Vehicle which can drop you at the Gonsav Beach in 5 Minutes.
Make sure you have enough time to unwind and relax at the hotel itself as they have some amazing activities inside the hotel itself. They also have a kids playing area/room for your kids to feel at home. We took about 40 minutes to reach to Alila Diwa from the airport of Goa. Goa is actually the party place for we Mumbaikars to even unwind over the weekends. I give them a 5 star for their prompt services and their food is heaven. Especially if you are also a fish fan and enjoy some goan masala fish then this is the ideal destination to pick, my friend. I loved all of their fish curries with thick coconut milk gravy. They also had a live counter for vegetarians to get some freshly made salads and mixed grilled veggies. I remember their date pudding till date. Make sure to try that one out. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are even more bigger. Their bath tubs are little bigger than your usual ones. And they will welcome you with some special bath salts to relax you. The only problem we faced was the huge walkway that had to be covered to walk back and forth from your rooms to the reception area or in and out of the hotel. They had buggies for transportation but then one has to shell out extra money for those rides. Also if you are dining outside in the open areas during late evening or night time, then the mosquitoes are not going to allow you to enjoy your meals in peace. I like the fact that this beach is situated just 1. 6 km from the Majorda Beach and their outdoor infinity pool is to die for. You are going to get some amazing clicks right here inside the hotel premises if you enjoy photography. I would definitely visit it again with a huge group.
