Hotel Review of Kalmatia Sangam
Comments: My husband and I were to only two people at Kalmatia Sangam and we had a ball! The views are goegeous the staff was polite and very hard working. Even in the midst of heavy, pouring rain they'd come down to our cottage with stuff for us to munch on, not to mention the delicious herbal tea!!
The food there is most unexpected. There is so much variety and there chef makes light and fluffy pastries which melt in your mouth.
the front office staff and the rest of the housekeeping staff are very well-mannered and are genuinely interested to show you a good time while you are there.
Make this place a must-see atleast once whether it's for your honeymoon or child's school break.
Best Experience: It had been pouring for a few days and the visibility was at an all-time low. The suddenly the skies cleared up and we got a panoramic view of the Nanda Devi range. While my husband and I rushed outside we found one of the staff rushing down to alert us about the sights in front of us. They didn't want us to miss a single breathtaking moment.
Worst Experience: There was nothing terribly extreme in our experience while at Kalmatia Sangam. But I do wish they would inform people on their website that the overheads are likely to be pretty high in case they want to indulge in any activities in and around the resort. A single car ride to a nearby town can set you back by Rs.1400 odd.
Apart from the packages they give, they would mention everything else which is extra and they should emphasize on which cottages provide the best views of the mountains. Some cottages barely give a glimpse as they are surrounded by trees and other give a no-holds barred view 24/7.

Hotel Review of Kalmatia Sangam
Kalmatia's location is just what a honeymooning couple (just married or otherwise) might look for. Miles away from anywhere it is Peace personified. Almora, just above 10 kms from the resort, is itself a sleepy mountain town. The only way in is a 5 hour drive from the Kathgodam station, through Nainital and Almora. There is a chance of falling asleep on the way, the train reaches very early in the morning, but then you might miss some of the...

Hotel Review of Kalmatia Sangam
Nice & peaceful place. To do nothing itself is a great activity and very relaxing. Long walks in natural surroundings was really fun. Completely away from the hustle & bustle of city life and good weather add to the fun. My family enjoyed it completely. The resort is excellent - clean, simple and arty....
