About Amanbagh

Amanbagh Resort is built in an oasis fed by a nearby lake in the Aravalli Hills of Rajasthan. It is built in the Moghul style within a walled compound that used to shelter the Maharaja of Alwar�s hunting camps. The structure is of pink sandstone and the garden has palm, eucalyptus and fruit trees. Outdoor activities around the resort include cycling, trekking, horse-riding, donkey, camel and elephant rides. Between August and February there is also rowing and sailing on the nearby Ajabgarh Lake. Other excursions offered are to the Sariska National Park, the Ajabgarh Fort and the Bhangarh ruins. Cultural lectures are held in the resort�s library on topics varying from philosophy to cuisine. The best season is between October and April.

Rooms & Amenities

There are four types of rooms at Amanbagh. The Courtyard Haveli suites on the ground floor on either side of the swimming pool have a living area, bedroom, private courtyard, attached bathroom, sound system and mini bar. The Garden Haveli Suites offer the above in addition to a private balcony overlooking the garden. The Terrace Haveli Suites on the top floor have no living room but offers a private terraced courtyard with sun-beds and a dressing room. The Pool Pavilions on the edge of the resort have their own private swimming pool and garden with dinning area. The resort also has a library, boutique, Spa and Lounge. The cuisine is Indian and Continental and is served either in the dinning room, by the pool or on the roof terrace. The resort offers complimentary taxi service to and from the airport. All major credit cards are accepted.
