It was worth staying in Amanvana - luxury Boutique spa resort, Coorg. Had a great experience staying over there. It is an 8 island resort, they will take you for trekking in island and it was just awesome. Spa over there was good and was so relaxing. Food was average. Overall nice stay.

The overall experience at the hotel was good. The surrounding of the hotel was also good. The interior and exterior of the hotel was very good and maintained well. The service provided by the staff was good. There was no problem in check-in and check-out process. It was done quickly. The room was also very well maintained. All the amenities in the room were working properly. The only difficulty I faced there was with the spa it was not at all good. The food provided by the hotel was also good and at reasonable price. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food was provided in the hotel. The food was served in buffet system. I would like to recommend this hotel to other people also.

We had a great experience. Would recommend this hotel for a great family holiday. The food was great, though slightly on the expensive side. The staff members were extremely good. We would love to go back to Amanvana. We used their spa as well as all the tours conducted by the hotel.

We (Honeymoon Trip) went Amanvana during May for honeymoon as the photos on website and the bungalows looked promising. The location is bit far off from Bangalore and Mangalore. We travelled from Bangalore by hiring a private cab as airport cab services are on expensive compared to other private players. Travelling from Mangalore can be preferred as it will save on travel time. The journey to reach Amanvana can be a bit tiring. However once you reach Amanvana all your fatigue takes a back-seat and you are welcomed by a very courteous and friendly staff. Especially the welcome drink and cold wipes will make you feel lively. The rooms and the entire property looks the same as depicted in website. You will simply have a wow feeling looking at the property and premises. On check-in we had Sharad who greeted us and walked us through the entire property. There itself was the first impression of promising stay and very polite and hospitable staff.

The property itself is widely spread and has many places where you can have your private space and can spend quality time. River passing by and the rabbit holes (places where you can enjoy nice relaxed outing) makes the stay worth while. There are in-house activities like bird watching, coffee plantation walk, yoga, spa etc. The most we liked was river trekking and river crossing. A bit of adventure that adds to the trip.

Food is where there is scope for improvement as the menu was repetitive and buffet spread was limited.

All in all, a must visit place as resort is simply amazing and is well-maintained. Indeed a memorable stay and glad my wifey liked it. Also special mention goes to Sharad and Saraswati for their friendly nature and were courteous throughout our stay. Recommended to few of our friends.

I have been there for three days along with family. Indeed, it is real good experience for the first time I have ever had. The ambiance is too good. Amazing hospitality and the courteous welcome by front desk people.

The very spacious bungalow style room is awesome which has the sun/moon roof bath room which is very neat and clean with all necessary amenities inside.

Food was excellent, did not feel like the traditional 5 star (Non-spicy) food but felt like an home stay (Except the pork dishes which are being kept along with other foods)

River trekking is an yet another experience which I would to appreciate, the way it has been planned and escorted. It was adventurous but safe.

Very big swimming pool just next to SPA. Had pleasant time with. Good, indeed.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with Amanvana. May be bit expensive stay, but its okay if you really want to have great long weekend with family. Very safe.

This resort is very bad as far as the customer service is concerned, be it the activity centre in charge Sarath or the restaurant staff. The service is worst as they don't really care for guests and to serve water on the table would take anywhere between 10 to 15 mins. Once you enter the restaurant there is nobody to greet or show the table, you are on your own, it's true self service, you have to identify the table available and if the table is not clean you got to tell them to clean the table. They wouldn't do the next step of dressing the table and you got to remind them each and every thing until every thing is placed on the table, you have to be literally behind this waiters as nobody really cares. It's a buffet and the spread is very little. You wouldn't feel like eating at this place because of lack of customer service.

There is an activity centre at this place and the in charge person is an awful lier and you would experience this after the trekking. When it comes to the photos, these people just want to make an quick buck with out the real effort.

Had a great experience and stay at Amanvana. Very calm, relaxed, soothing stay of 3 days with Amanvana. Recommended strongly for all to have a break from daily routine and chaos. Thnks a ton for great hospitality.

Amenities offered in rooms, restaurant, pool, spa were excellent. Services offered by housekeeping, reception, restaurant & for local tour was excellent.

For first time travellers it is recommended to plan well in advance all the aspects like travelling to Coorg from Bangalore or Mangalore.

The service in the hotel was good, well-maintained and nice place for holidays to enjoy with family. I like to visit this hotel again when my family make trip to this place again and the treat was so good where all of my family could enjoy a lot. The food taste was fantastic, the workers were so friendly they treated us like their own family.

This was our family summer outing. Seeing the web-page we had expected to have an adventurous stay for our kids, but it turned out to be our worst nightmare.

After almost 7 hours of drive we reached the hotel to be made to wait for half an hour, as there was no receptionist to give us the keys or welcome drink!!!

The rooms were comfortable and good. The bathrooms are the highlights, no doubt about it. We were told by the manager to go for the river trail trek on the same day. We thought it would be great fun for the kids. The water in the rivers was almost to the chest level of an adult and forceful. It seems because of the rain, the force had increased. Neither the guide nor the hotel people had evaluated the situation. There was no life jackets also. We asked him to cut short the trek. On the way back some one got hurt on the head. There was no first aid also!!! There was no help at all from the management about finding out the thief. Finally we decided to give a police complaint and return back home. Till date no update from them regarding this at all.

My advice would be if your life and money aren't dearer then you can venture to this resort.

Next day as it was drizzling, we kept our Cannon DSLR camera and purse in the room and went to swimming pool area. Next day when we were packing for return trip we realised that the camera and cash had been stolen. We complained to the Manager, who felt we might have lost it because of negligence. How on earth would you plan to take camera out when it is raining. Leaving things in the room was our worst mistake. We had not only our this trip photos but also of other trips.

Hotel Amanvana was very good in terms of the services delivered to customers. Talk about outdoor buffet, room services, laundry, etc. The villas offered was very good on interiors and very comfortable. But slight problem of pricing of drinking bottles which are exorbitantly priced irks a customer. A bottle costing a mere 20 outside, will cost you 65 including taxes. So this is where we face problems. Rest all was very good.
