Hi friends, recently I had a trip to Amby Valley. This is a truly amazing place and as you enter you feel that you have left India and are in some place abroad and the climate there is also very cool as compared to Lonavala city, it was raining when we were there. This place has many recreational activities to do, like Aqua bus which is the most unique. The cost is too high like Aquabus costs you 1100 Rs but it's worth doing once for a good experience and the most amazing thing is the fountain show which is there on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm opposite the reception. The service is also amazing over here as you are transported by the golf cars and hotel cars throughout the city, without any extra charges. Overall it's an amazing place and continue exploring guys.
Been here for 2 nights and this place is a big city in itself. The rooms are simply amazing with balcony to sit around. The swimming pool is huge and very well maintained. There are internal cars always available at your disposal for with the city transfers. The staff is very helpful at any hour of the day. Food was very good and serve all the cuisines.
Right so as I entered, it was slowly sinking.. This isn't going well... Not a wise decision... Esp since I did the booking for our anniversary :( Must say.. In the end.. We left with a note.. " Surely a must visit again... " :) It's a beautiful drive and almost 10 km from Tiger falls.. But I'm sure this drive will be more beautiful during winters... The frisking at the security is detailed. Wasn't allowed to carry booze inside, explanation is that a policy and the security folks say... "Fir humare restaurants kaise challenge"... Come on.. That you aren't running Aamby Valley for that. Haven't seen any such policy in the biggest 5 stars. The check-in is PATHETIC... Not at all smooth.. The reception felt like a individual body who has nothing to do if I actually check-into the room or no. They just handed over me a map and said "proceed". I was asked to carry an id proof which I showed but they also wanted my hubby's id who was in the car waiting far away as there was a fleet of cars busy checking out. Hello!! Do you expect me to walk up with my daughter till the car and come back for the id?? The staff should have been courteous to send someone to collect that. We left from the reception and the actual cottage was around 3-4km away from there and when we reached there we were lost as there was no one to guide us or welcome us. We then went to another reception there who then sent for a golf car after a wait. Place is huge and very beautiful... The room was beautiful and huge. We then went for the wave pool which was some good time spent esp with a kid. It's expensive and runs only 10 mins per person. So advisable to jump in with a big group so that the pool runs for one hour atleast. The pickup and drop between the cottage and these places is in a Merc which is pleasing :) There is a beautiful Fountain show in the evening which is wings of time.. The same one which plays in sentosa. This is free and a must watch! Heard it doesn't play on weekdays but worth checking at the reception. Many do not operate on weekdays or for lunch on weekends. Best is to check at the reception. 'Mabrook' is a place for people who love Lebanese. One of the best dining experiences... The staff is so responsive and attentive.. And the manager & chef made it more special for us :) Horse riding is fun esp for kids. Have heard good reviews of the water sports but did not find time to try it.
I visited Lonava that time just to visit Aamby Valley City. I had heard a lot about it & it was really more beautiful than what I heard. Lot of Greeneries, Beautiful villas & cottages, pleasant climates etc. Nature was at its best when I visited Amby Valley in Jan. Food was excellent. Especially the desserts were wonderful.
This is an amazing property similar to a integrated township for luxurious stay. Fabulous rooms, amazing decoration, excellent service and world class facility worth a mention. We loved the scenic landscape and garden areas. Food treat was awesome and delightful taste.
