Amirthi Zoological Park spreads over an area of 2,50,000 sq m. Situated under the Javadu Hills of Tellaiacross Amirthi River, the park was opened in October, 1967. It is popular for its waterfalls, swing and animal habitats.
Visitors can spot animals and birds like spotted deer, hedgehog, fox, reason monkey, red headed parrot and love birds. Besides, peacock, crocodile, wild cat, eagle, duck and wild parrots can also be seen in the park.
