"Great experience"

  • Posted Dec 16, 2011
Ananthagiri Valley Resorts is about 90 Kms from Visakhapatnam. The Drive to this place is most enjoyable. People who want to take a break from the concrete jungle will like the place and the drive. This resort is located on top of a small hillock with all the rooms overlooking the valley. Most of the rooms have the valley view. The resort is well maintained with neat surroundings.

Best Experience: The resort people arrange for a local tribal Dance called Dhimsa Dance around a camp fire. It was one of the best things I enjoyed here. The dew falling like rain and fire around which people were dancing was a good experience. The restaurant was a decent enough one. Ananthagiri waterfalls is about 5 kms from this resort. The road going to waterfalls goes through the tribal hamlet which may be a pleasant experience.

Worst Experience: This place has to be enjoyed for the nature around it. There is nothing around this place to be seen except nature. Only BSNL mobile works here, so no disturbances too.

"We went in the second..."

We went in the second week of August which falls during mid monsoon season. We got to enjoy a beautiful weather, fog even at 3 in the afternoon. It seemed more like a dream, walking admist the clouds. The service in the room is pretty decent. Given the reputation most of the giverment properties have around the world, we had almost no expectation. However, we were proved wrong. We were delighted to be there, the room was good and had basic ameninities, the lawn was very well maintained, the food and the service was pretty decent. I personally enjoyed Green Peas Masala they served. They let you get your own alcohol and have it and make no qualms about serving/ getting you mixers/ ice/ snacks etc which is GREAT. The rooms at the resort are pretty economic and well worth. We took a train from Hyderabad to get to Vizag and hopped in another one immediately and were a bit tired. But it was all well worth. The cellphones dont work here so its a perfect getaway. Phone fanatics like me need to start telling themselves about a week or 10 days in advance that \'there wont be any phone\' else, it will be very difficult. We also went to a waterfall about 2kms away from the resort. We enjoyed the tribal village museum and flower wall. Also shook a leg with those tribals. One thing to bear in

Best Experience: The drive from Arakku station to Ananthagiri The weather was beautiful making the experience a memorable one The rooms and the price point

Worst Experience: Ananthagiri is a communist area so one cant freely go around the village post 6PM.

Went there with my wife for the first trip of my married life....have been there before, but first trip after marriage....is a special experience.....selected that place becuase i know it before.....

Best Experience: The view from the room...overlooking the valley...is one of the best....since its relatively newly built.....the rooms are clean and neat.....

Worst Experience: The roomservice and food would be little late and you have very limited menu.....

That was such a nice experience to be in ananthagiri resorts where the environment itself will make you feel relaxed.

Best Experience: Expecially the cottages which are located on the edge of the mountain will give the best experience you ever had if you spend your time in balcony while having a cup of coffee.
