Tranquility stay

6.4/7
Posted 30 Jan, 2017

Having been there earlier, I proposed to have our Guindy Engineers Class of 1964 Reunion there. My classmates after seeing the Resort website readily agreed and they didn't regret it. For me it was as nice clean and charming as it was three years ago. For the first-timers the setting was blissful. The peninsular site ensures that all the cottages and the dining hall provide good view of Chittar lake. Each cottage also has a private pavilion and a lotus pond if one wants to relax outdoors gazing at the lake and the hills beyond. For guests in cottages farther from the dining they have an electric buggy. The roomy cottages are well furnished and neatly maintained. There's an outdoor shower too. The toilet supplies are adequate and there's an electric kettle with tea and coffee. The staff were extremely courteous and the service prompt. Housekeeping is excellent. The food was excellent. The infinity pool is well maintained and is a star attraction. Activities may be limited to hiking in the forest and rubber estate walk which the resort management is willing to arrange. For the devout Sri Adhi Kesava Temple at Thiruvattar is a must. The Padmanabhapuram Palace of the erstwhile King of Travancore is an interesting tourist attraction.

Homely staff care and peaceful location

6.2/7
Posted 3 Feb, 2017

We had stayed at your resort during the third week of January 2017. We would like to first offer our thanks to your team in taking care of us in a very homely and welcoming manner. Our first positive impression about your resort was the location. More specifically, the peacefulness of your location. The days we spent there was truly a break that we needed from our traffic jams, crowds and all! We were happy that your resort was exactly the way you have represented. A special mention about your food; we loved the presentation and the selected variety on the menu. The food was great and tastefully done. Again, Our appreciation to you and your team - who made our stay a complete one. They were courteous, helpful and prompt. The long walks along the lake, the serenity of your lakefront restaurant, the light breeze all around the resort was unforgettable. We would definitely recommend this resort to our friends, who like us, have expectations that we believe you can cater to. Again, thank you and we would love to visit again.

An enchanting destination

6.8/7

Ananta Resort is located in the banks of the serene Chittar lake in the Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu. The location is convenient to access from the southern parts of Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu. It is placed right in the midst of hundreds of acres of rubber plantation and offers a number of facilities like swimming pool, cycling, indoor and outdoor games, etc. The rooms are nice and tidy and offers all the amenities for a luxurious stay. The overall service provided by the resort is at expected levels and the complimentary breakfast is worth mentioning also. The resort is roughly 5 kilometres from the popular Thirparappu water falls and the hanging bridge which is garnering much public attention of late. The famous Kottur Elephant rehabilitation centre in Kerala is easily accessible from the resort. The view from the cottage which is placed right in the bank of the lake is excellent. It offers an excellent holiday location to both families and couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there in the month of April 2015. It may appear to be costly when you check the tariff but it is worth giving a try.

In the middle of Rubber plantation

6.0/7
Posted 3 Jun, 2016

Nestled in the banks of the Chaitra Dam. This exotic place is completely unspoilt. The resort is situated in the middle of a 750 acre rubber plantation with 15 acres reserved for this resort. Each cottage has a theme and is well done with an open shower for that extra romantic feel. The place offers utmost privacy and is calm and quiet for most parts of the day with occasional chirping of the birds. The resort has a thick vegetation but cropped and maintained to the best, even on a peak summer day I bet the sun cannot penetrate this vegetation. The staff is courteous and the food is good. Try the Kerala cuisine do not expect high on other styles. This place is for those who want to unwind relax and rejuvenate themselves. Do fishing or lay by the pool and read a book or watch the lovely birds chirping or go for a casual stroll or cycling. This place is worth all the. Penny and time. For that 750kms long drive that we took from Bangalore.

Room is amazing, we had a private pool and jacuzzi

We came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. I must admit, this place is heaven! The kind of service you get from people is exceptional. :) The room is amazing where we had a private pool and jacuzzi. An ideal place away from the hustle-bustle and pollution. Where you can experience the sound of Nature! I suggest people who truly want to experience bliss should come here and rejuvenate. One thing I would suggest the resort to cater is to have a live musical band or Dj night, so that the evening can be lively.
