The location of the hotel was located far from the city. The appearance of the hotel was very nice. The booking and front office was very good. The staff's were less in the hotel. The provided room was comfortable. I had visited this hotel for official purpose with my colleagues. I don’t have any suggestion for this hotel.

We made a last minute plan to Angsana Bangalore and front office executive and manager were friendly to assure booking over phone. All was well but when we came over, they asked us to wait till 1 PM for check in as they needed time for cleaning room which will be checked out at 12 PM. No complaints as we were early and we knew the check in time. However, it was not given till 1 PM and we waited and proceeded to lunch without checking in into rooms. Around 2:30 PM we were given one room and house keeping was still going on second room. No issues since we were more interested in hitting pool. Here was the major disappointment. We have been to several resorts and water parks and knew that only nylon clothing was allowed in pools. We were prepared with suitable clothing and came to pool. We were stopped by the pool attendant and was told only I (male) can go in my 3/4th pants but women from our group have to wear swim suits and it was the rule. I went to manager and explained him the logic of wearing only nylon cloths in pools and we were prepared for that. But he said he cannot change rules and women need to be dressed in swimsuits only. They said they were selling suits which on checking, women in my family were not comfortable wearing those as the one's that were fitting them were shorter (above knee length) and those which were long enough were loose. This was the major attraction for us to the resort and since they were not allowed, we just did not use the pool. I hope the resort change the rule so that people can have fun and not be disappointed by rule which the manager did not know the logic behind. Management might have set the rule to avoid ladies wearing cotton wear like chudidhars which leave strands of threads that get stuck in water purifier. However, we left to play some indoor games. They said sports shoe was compulsory to play squash which was not told prior to coming there. On expressing disappointment again, the attendant allowed us to play bare foot. did not get the logic of not allowing sandals but no complaint because the squash balls were bad and we could not play squash well. We went to fuzzball but that was faulty. Went to play caroms but powder was not there. We tried hard and have called house keeping to get the carom powder. The attendant came very late after the call and showed us that powder was hidden on a dusty ceiling which if not guided could not be found. Then we tried playing TT. Rackets were worn out, and net in the table was very loose. So for activities, it is a bad resort. Even cricket bats were broken or on the verge of breaking. But we had carried few games with us and so we had fun within room. Rooms were excellent, food was very good. Elders in the family had relaxing time. Could not try spa since manager said spa is fully booked.
After a hectic work schedule for a month or so, I landed up here to relax myself and wanted to be with myself and with the nature. I will easily say this is the best resort I have visited in and around Bangalore. A great place to relax. The staff was very courteous, delicious food and a good spread for vegetarians as well. The spa treatment was an icing on the cake after all the outdoor and indoor activities. Rooms were spacious and very prompt service when requested for anything. Must thing to do here is a SPA Treatment after a good swim. They will also arrange for private dinners for any special occasion if requested. I haven't tried though. But will definitely try shortly.
I was looking out for a resort for one night-two day stay near bangalore. I chose Angsana and was happy with my choice! the ocassion was special, my hattrick wedding anniv and so I wanted the place to be perfect for the occassion! It was a surprise for my husband Vijay and so I was more cautious while choosing the place. Angsana is a Prestige group property. Its pretty old. But the age didnt reduce the beauty of the resort. its absolutely well maintained and scenic.
Fantastic place to relax yourself from Cities growing could and business tensions. I had a great outing there and we enjoyed lots of games arranged by partners. Food was good but may b the preparations not for all crowd. Pool was good too. They have ample space for parking and rooms are quite clean, we'll decorated. Spa services are little expensive but satisfactory results.
Plus points:- 1. Large and spacious rooms. 2. Very close to Bangalore but away from hustle/bustle. 3. Thai and ayurvedic massage. 4. Restaurant with good food options. 5. Events like wine tasting. 6. Garden and greenery. Minus points:- 1. Nothing much. 2. Swimming pool was not functional
