Spacious rooms and located well

6.5/7
Posted 12 Jan, 2015

I did not face any problem in the hotel. It was a very good hotel. Breakfast was very good and it was complimentary. It was easily located and very easy to travel. It was located within the city nearby beach. I travelled there by car. Appearance of the hotel was very good from outside and inside. Service and the staff behaviour were fine. Everyone was cooperative there. They were quickly attending all our requests. I did not have lunch and dinner there. Varieties were available in breakfast. South Indian food was very good there. Room was spacious. Everything was good there like washroom and all. It was well-maintained and hygienic. AC, TV, geyser or everything was functioning properly. Swimming pool view was visible from there. Overall, I was satisfied with the room. Nothing is to be improved in the room. Indoor and outdoor games were not there. Car was arranged by them for sightseeing trip. Finally, Calangute is a very nice place to visit. I will recommend it to others. No suggestion for improvement is needed. Overall, it was value for money. It was a family visit. I took two rooms there.

Had a fun stay

5.4/7
Posted 25 Oct, 2014

Me and few of my friends had a small holiday planned out to visit Goa. We all were looking very much forward to it as it was the first time all of us were going to be together after finishing our graduation. The stay at this holiday home made my experience even better. Firstly, we made an online booking there at a very reasonable price (one big tension was off our minds). Secondly, the holiday home was very easy to find. Calangute beach is just at walking distance (hmm, yes it is not sea facing). The pool was great, cleaning was properly taken care of. You can always start your day with a nice dip in the pool ( but the timing could have been increased....at night it was not allowed to get into the pool). We booked a two room non A/C compartment, those were comfortable. Just one thing bedding for an extra person was not provided. As far as television is concerned, vast improvement is required, Anup HH try to get a digital connection. But who goes to Goa to sit in front of a TV set. The best part of this hotel was its services. A lot of good points here. At any time you can call the reception and ask for water or anything. We used to return to the hotel very late in the night and were mostly out of drinking water, so we just used to call the reception, and they would very gladly deliver the water to our room. Then, there was cleaning. When you go to the beaches and return to your rooms, you know what is it you bring back in plenty? it is sand. So a daily cleaning and a change of bed sheets are the must. Every day the cleaning of the room was done by their staff. Fooding, You only get the complimentary breakfast, and i guess you only need that because for remaining meals times you won't be there in your hotel rooms if you are really there for having fun. Breakfast was great, everyday you get something different. But for food i might not be the best person. Because when a person makes it out of a hostel mess then he likes any eatable food. But one thing you for sure have to buy your own shampoos, these are not included there. But a big flaw in the Hotel services was that there was no restaurant of its own. So if somehow you are in the room at a time of meal, and you want to have that in the bed, then that is not an option that Anup HH equips you with. But there are many restaurants nearby it. But we liked the most was the Punjabi dhaba very near to this hotel. It has very tasty food at a very ordinary cost. But DO NOT ask them to make the food spicy, take my word, you will regret it. Their normal food is spicy enough. Apart from these things, I would have liked if it was nearer to the sea.

Awesome stay in a good hotel at wonderful location

5.5/7
Posted 10 Apr, 2015

The hotel's location is the best thing about it. It's just 5 mins walkable distance to Calangute beach. And around the hotel you have everything - shopping area, nice restaurants, bikes or cars for hire. So you can be at the beach anytime and roam around, shop and to visit the other sides of Goa just get a bike or if you don't drive hire a car with driver. You'll get this just when you walk outside of the hotel. If it's peak season, be sure to book the bikes or cars soon as they can all get booked soon. The hotel's entrance and reception give a very good feel. The rooms were good and reasonable. It was not very luxurious but nice. The hotel staff was very helpful. We were happy with their service. If any issues or help you can just ask them and they'll surely help you. And yes, the morning complimentary breakfast, it's really good. Other than this there was no restaurant in the hotel itself. So for the rest time's food, you can try the restaurants around. Also ordering the food from other hotels which provide free delivery at this hotel was also a good and reasonable options, the pamphlets you'll get at the reception. We were a group of girls on the holiday and our stay was awesome. Everything was accessible from here and we had a great experience. Also they'll give you contacts, if you want to book for day long, South Goa or North Goa tours. It easy to book and the bus would pick you from the hotel itself in the morning and drop you back at the evening.

It was a pleasant stay

5.3/7
Posted 19 Feb, 2016

We went there at the end of feb and stayed there till march first week. It's good to stay somewhere in north goa if you are visiting for the first time. Anup holiday homes is a good option if you are not willing to spend much for the stay and are going to spend max time at beach and clubbing. They provide free breakfast and that too tasty. It is advisable to plan goa trip on Saturday so that you can visit the Saturday market. It is a delight to eyes, you will feel as if you are in some russian market. Overall my experience in Goa was very good. Just be careful of the taxi fare charges they ask for huge amount. Chk with local cab driver's instead of the tour and travels. Buy wine from the anjuna flea market(every Wednesday)its very cheap and good. Buy cashews from govt shop only if you want good quality and price. There's a shop adjacent to anup holiday homes and it was good. Let me know if you planning your trip and my experience can help you plan any better.

Place was good and it can be recommended

6.1/7

It is conveniently located and services were good. Staff were very friendly and co-operative. Outside is looks poor but inside it looks fresh. I took Ac room and all basic amenities were functioning properly. Wash-room and bed sheet was neat and clean. There is no delay in check-in and check-out process. I visited for an official purpose with colleagues in the month of September 2012. Pool was there in the hotel but I did use it. My destination to this place was good and I like to recommend to other travellers.
