The Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary, located on the slopes of the Western Ghats, was established in 1984. It covers an area of around 55 sq km and is home to several animals that are commonly seen in the Western Ghats.
Animals like bison, elephant, boar, leopard, jungle cat and deer can be spotted in the sanctuary. The Meenmutty Waterfalls, nearby, is also visited by tourists. The Chavachi Waterfalls and Ambalapara peak are some of the other attractions around this sanctuary.
