The Arappaleeshvarar temple, situated on the Kolli Hills, was built during the 12th century. This temple is believed to have a secret path leading to the Rasipuram Shiva temple. The temple is also known as the Fish temple.
According to legend, Lord Arappalli Iswarar lives in the fish found in the River Aiyaru. This temple is also famous for an annual three-day festival. Besides, a wide collection of bronze statues and a chariot also attract tourists to the temple.
