Located in the foothills of the Northern hill that holds the Northern Fort, the Archaeological Museum was founded in 1979. Pre-historical sculptures and stone equipments are the main collections of this museum, which date back to the 6th-16th century AD.
Amidst the four galleries of the museum, two are open air. A large stone sculpture of Nandi, Shiva’s bull, sits in front of this Archaeological Museum’s entrance.
Timing: 10 am - 5 pm. (Closed on Friday)
Admission Fee: Rs. 2
Free for children up to 15 years
