The Arunachal State Museum is situated in the Cantonment Area. It throws light on the customs and culture of the various ethnic tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. There are 26 main tribal groups in Arunachal Pradesh some of which are Wanchos, Noctes, Tangsas, Khamptis, Mishmis etc. each group has its own culture, dress, dialect and social hierarchy.
