Asha Purani Mandir

Asha Purani Mandir, also known as the Prachin Mandir, is situated in the main bazaar of Kathua City. This temple was constructed by Bhagat Chajju Ram in 1949 and has a 10 ft high idol of Goddess Durga on its roof.

It is commonly believed that this temple is situated on a place where the ashes or veins of Goddess Durga fell and hence, the temple is known as the Asha Purani temple.
