It was my birthday when me and my friends decided to celebrate my birthday this time in a different way for a memorable experience. That's how we decided to go for a trip to matheran and celebrate my birthday over there. Then we started to decide which hotel would be the best to enjoy then me came across. The Ashok Hotel which is famous for their hospitality. We stayed there for 3 days and the experience was quite amazing. We had the party till the late night. In the day time we used to roam at beautiful and peaceful site of matheran. Thats all how we enjoyed our trip and my birthday at matheran.

We went to Matheran on the New year day i.e. 4th November 2013 for a stay of 4 Days and 3 nights advanced booked package as it was Diwali break time. We had booked through an agent in Mumbai. When we arrived at Matheran Railway Station in the Toy Train, we exactly didn't know the place where the Hotel was located so hired the Man-hand pulled Rickshaw for Rs. 200/- per person. When we started in the morning around 10 we found that the Hotel is quite far and as We had my Father in Law who is a senior citizen and my Aunt who is a patient of Asthma, together with us. We felt it would be difficult for them to move around in the place. But finally when we arrived at the Hotel Ashok, we found it really in a Nice Location. We had to get down the stairs to reach there. It is on the way when you to to the Sunset point. The hotel was in a real serene destination. In the lap of Mother Nature. The Swimming pool, the open dinning area, the beds under the trees for sitting and relaxing along with the Swings and sea-saw and slides and the play area for the kids. The Table tennis, carom and Badminton Area as well as all the instruments for playing there were available and in fact many were playing when we reached there. The Front office staff was very co-operative on our arrival they gave us a warm welcome and asked us to wait for sometime as the cleaning was going on and also asked us to go for the morning breakfast. The Best part of the Hotel was the Food. Morning Breakfast we had Bateta-Poha, Upma, Bread, butter, jam, gathiya, jalebi, idli, vada, uttapam, sambhar, tomato and onion chilla and many more varity during the 3 days stay. Talking about the Lunch full Dish had receipes like Roti/Puri/ Puranpoli, 3 Vegetables like dry sabji, one with gravy gujarati style and one with paneer punjabi style, one Kathol, one farshan and one sweet. One day we were served with Puranpoli, other day with fruit yogut and third day with dudhpaak. Dinner was also excellent with traditional, bhakhri, rotla, khicdai, kadhi onion-potato dry sabji to exclusive chinese food and punjabi cusine also. Dahivada, and ragdo plus chat. Dudhi Halvo for dinner sweet and also Ice-cream getting served. Special entertainment shows for the children like the Puppet show and the Magic shows are also arranged by the Hotel. The Room service boys and all the staff rather was very co-operative and always on their toes for the customers. I really liked that and appreciate their gesture. The only thing that disappointed me was the Room. The bed were very Old and almost on the verge of breaking and Many tiles were broken. And also in the Bathroom there was on place or space or facility for putting down your towel and clothes. All in all it was a Very good Memorable experience to be at the place and the Hotel also, to start a New year.

Hotel Food is very good and there test are keep in our mouth. There surrounding location is very nice. there play device for kids and adults so good. The Hotel location is in point because we are going to any view point by walk. The hotel location is good for rilexable because there atmosphere is cold and without noise pollution. The room service and other services are very good.

In the month of May it was very nice to visit & stay at Matheran hill station only at Hotel Ashoka.
The service provided by hotel staff was excellent & fair.
The entertainment program in the night was also very nice.
The discount provided by hotel was also good while booking.Food quality was excellent with full breakfast.
The difference with other hotel was quite space, hot water facility, quick room service & clean space to stay with family.
