Ashok Pillar

Built on the south bank of the coronation tank is the Vishwa Shanti Stupa (pillar of peace). This monument is one of the highest in the world and has been built in collaboration with the Japanese government.

Apart from these two monuments, the other structure that is of immense importance and heritage splendour is the Lion Pillar at Kolhua built by Emperor Akbar. Made of a highly polished single piece of red sandstone, surmounted by a bell shaped capital, the Pillar stands 18.3 metres high, with a life-size figure of a lion placed on top of the pillar.

All important structures with a rich past and born of great stories, till this day these destinations garner enough interest to have people flocking to them from all across the country and even the rest of the world.
