Ashok Sagar

The Ashok Sagar Lake is about 7 km from Nizamabad and used to be amidst a dense forest cover. This lake lies on the popular route towards a temple dedicated to Saraswathi, which is located at Basar in Hyderabad. With time, the placed was developed by the local authorities and the recent developments include introduction of boating facilities, restaurants and a rock garden.    

There is a 15 ft statue of Goddess Saraswathi in middle of the lake, which is a major attraction here. The restaurant present here, is named Asok Sagar Restaurant and is popular for its unique size and shape.
