It was my vacation trip with my friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The appearance of the hotel was wonderful. The food and drink was very tasty. The service of the hotel was also excellent. It was very good experience at the hotel.
I have visited this homestay twice and my experience/stay was wonderful with the hospitality provided by the hotel. Food was prepared great and provided as per choice. Very quite and scenic environment. The estate is worth going around and exploring. I would recommend to visit this place.
The homestay is one of the best I have been to! The location is very good and the building itself is from the colonial era and is a trip back in time. There are additional cottages right next to the main building which are good too. And for a change, it was the food that takes the lion's share of credit. It was just excellent! The cook (unable to recollect his name) was very courteous and agreed to prepare the dishes that we asked for and I must say that it was one of the best I've ever had. Mullayanagiri peak is a short drive away from here, making this homestay one of the ideal choices for a quick weekend getaway.
Nice place to visit... Atithi homestays..is too good to stay and the food prepared by Krishna..is too good. I loved the location of the homestay... the hospitilaty of the care takers was too good. On that da it was raning .. when we reached.. they served us with tea and biscuits.. later that night they..served us good chicken...tandoor and rice ki roti..ver unusual.

We had selected this place after checking excellent feedbacks across forums. Unfortunately, at the end of the trip, I tend to join the small number of dissatisfied athithi's (which means, 'guest'). We were 3 families & 3 kids. They were gracious to assign us the single building block next to the main bungalow that allowed us to have very lively chat sessions. Our leisurely stay was only accompanied by morning & evening strolls in the estate. However, we were saddened by the fact that the huge estate is no more active. (I might be wrong) We did not see any stretch of maintained coffee plantation.
Excellent !!!! I gone homestays in chikmagalur and various destinations before, this was easily one of the best so far. Very clean restrooms, excellent food, and above all very warm and friendly hosts. I travelled with my mom, wife and daughter, and all of us have brought back very fond memories of this place. If one is looking for a place to relax, with plenty of greenery and serenity around, I would highly recommend this place. Food is a definite bonus, with very good options for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians.
Chikmagalur was a pleasant surprise. I thought that all we\'ll get to see is trees and leaves. We didn\'t spend too much time, so don\'t go by just my review. We were there for just 2 days, but whatever we saw was more than enough to have us coming back. Secondly, what really saved us was the fact that we shortlisted our homestay before getting to CHMGLR. Had we not done that, we\'d have been in trouble since we reached at about 10 at night. Also, it\'s not easy to get accommodation without prior intimation. I recommend you contact the homestays before you start. The weather was excellent. Cold night, cool afternoon and rainy evening. I think what made our vacation awesome was the homestay. The place was in a great location, the owner was a very helpful and accommodating lady and the best care taker we\'ve come across. The best part is that the owner doesn\'t stay at the homestay so it\'s as good as staying in a hotel that looks like a palatial house. About CHKMGLR, you have to visit Mulayangiri. It is the highest peak in karnataka. It\'s beautiful! A great drive and when you get to the base, you\'re in the clouds. On the peak is a temple. You\'ve got to climb about 450+ steps to get to the top, but the temple is really nice and we got good prasad. So, yes, we were in the clouds and it was cold. Not the shivering cold, but the nice bearable cold. I meditated for a bit too. One of my favorite places this Mulayangiri. I\'ve been going around recommending it to other folks. Don\'t not have this as a part of your trip. There are other places too, I guess, but we didn\'t have enough time to visit.
We had been to Athithi homestay in December in chikamagalur we totally relaxed and enjoyed the Nature with lust coffee plants for three days.It was a season for them to pluck coffee,we got full information about coffee, so it was good time for us to visit the place.the weather was absolutely great, mornings where real misty and chilling. We had gone as faimly and all us enjoyed the great food prepared over there is still mouth watering treated us very will wit "chocolate desert" on first day and "mango" on second day it was really awsome. They had prepared special lighting and borne fire in the night for us,since we had Requested it at no extra cost,We really liked the way the have maintained the originality of the place without spoiling it. Only thing is it gets really cold out there in the nights.since we where not fully equipped we had to suffer little bit. We had really great time going in and around chikmagalur,we wish to go again sometime.
If you are a nature lover, looking to get away from a city, looking to get some clean air, peace and quite, yet want a comfortable, cozy stay, this is the place for you.The location of this homestay is wonderful, with a panoramic view of the mountains in the front and the coffee plantation at the back. The whole bunglow is very well maintained This homestay is owned and operated by the coffee plantation owners. We stayed only Saturday night at the homestay because it was completely booked Friday night, and also tried to extend our stay, but it was booked again Sunday night! The house was clean, english house but had a lot of character as well. We arrived mid-morning, and after our complimentary coffee.beautiful 6 bedroom home set amongst the coffee estates. As it is far away from the town there is absolutely no noise or air pollution. The location is rustic, but it\'s a lovely place, and you can be sure your hosts will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.Great food akki roti and kooli saru, we just loved it.
