as we reached there,a welcome with smiling staff...there was a sunset cruise complimentry at 5.than it was amazing to sit at banks of backwater with a swimming pool from where a beautiful sunset....with so many birds returning to home.....

Kumarakom is a beautiful location. Backwater Ripples was an even better place. The place was very clean and well maintained. Food was excellent. View from the rooms was excellent. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend... More

The resort has a private opening to the backwaters which is awesome!! Backwaters look like mighty ocean in the evening

The overall experience at this resort was very refreshing as the view and seclusion one gets at this resort is brilliant!! The ayurvedic massage and the nature bathroom are the highlights of my experience.

About Backwater Ripples

Backwater Ripples is an eco-adventure resort set alongside of Vembanadu Lake in Kumarakom. Pathiramanal, a natural uninhabited island in Vembanad Lake is in the close vicinity of the Resort. The bird sanctuary in Pathiramanal is home to some rare migratory birds. The Resort features an Ayurvedic centre. House boat and motor boat tours and sunset cruises are offered on request.

Rooms & Amenities

Backwater Resort features 34 independent cottages and executive rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and have tea/ coffee makers, mini-bars, satellite TVs, refrigerators, phones and internet connectivity. The Resort also offers a Houseboat accommodation (a private deck, two fully furnished bed rooms with attached bathrooms). Facilities include multi-cuisine restaurants, lake front barbeque, a swimming pool, water sports center, health club, curio shop, travel desk, currency exchange and doctor on call. The Resort also has banquet and conference facilities.
