Good backwater resort to stay with family, Staff and manager is very supportive not very near to finishing point area from where you can get houseboats, also enjoy fishing in resort. Be est part of resort is entry to resort by a small boat as their is no motorable road and one can enjoy boat ride to resort.
This is a wonderful resort situated right on backwaters on the way to Pudumadam, easily accessible via auto from Boat Jetty this resort offers a beautiful stay on the backwaters. One can enjoy the private boat rides (payable per hour) and can go around till kumarakom also via boat. The resort is accessible only through boat from road-side and this make it a different place to stay. The rooms are good with basic facilities and staff was good. One has to order in advance since resort kitchen is limited.
We stayed there toward end of Oct '15. It was pleasant to stay there with creek locality & nice hospitality. Very unique experience of riding on small country boat to cross the water stream to get into the stay. You can count hundreds of houseboat crossing in front you. Supervisor was very helpful for in-stay as well as arranging boat ride; especially quickly assembling fishing rod for the kid to do fishing. It was an awesome experience.
We've been here from oct 21st 2015 to 23rd. The best thing about this resort is a 2 minute boat travel to get in and out of resort. The appachan, old man who rows the boat was really gentle and careful. They provided us the lake view room as requested by us. The view from our room was really amazing as you could see the houseboats, shikaras pass by. Situated amidst punnamada waters. Coming to the room, it was neatly carpeted, tidy and beautiful. My 8 year old daughter loved this place so much as it has a lovely garden with a swing to play by. The owner Mr. Jayachandran is a down to earth gentleman who shows excellent hospitality, he himself arranged a shikara for us to explore the vembanad lake, gave proper guidance to visit nearby places, in fact he even dropped us in his car to some places nearby as he passed through those places. Both Tapan and Antony clinton were always there for help. The chef Arun's sambar was really tasty and food was hygienic. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Alleppey Bamboo resort. Feeling relaxed.
I stayed for 2 days at the hotel and found everything excellent. The room, location, cleanliness, food and hotel staff behaviour everything excellent. The location of the hotel is very good. The view from the room is very romantic. The place is having lake and canal all over the city and making it a awesome visit. We also were pleased with hotel manager, Ms Kavita's hospitality. Thanks Kavitaji for making our holiday memorable.
The location of the hotel was near to the bus stand. The ambiance at the hotel was clean and tidy. The interior and exterior of the hotel was well decorated. The staffs at the hotel were active. The check in and checkout procedure was on time. The room which they allocated to me was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. All amenities in the room were functioning well. I had not observed the laundry facility at the hotel. The hot water facility was provided by the hotel. The Wi-Fi facility was provided by the hotel. I didn’t see any view from my room. The food which they served to me was very good in taste and the quality was better. They served only vegetarian food. The activities like swimming pool, gym, spa, etc. were not conducted by the hotel. I would like to recommend this hotel for other travellers. I would like to visit this hotel again.
Overall great. Excellent service by the staff. Would love to go there again. The place is off the river back and it's cool to travel through the mists of Alleppey.
I visited Alleppey with my family for holidays and stayed at this hotel. Our experience was good and the stay was comfortable. The hotel is very near to the backwaters and the appearance of hotel is good. The interiors are maintained well and room allotted to us was not spacious but cleanly maintained with all the amenities which were in good condition. The staff members in the hotel are friendly and helpful in services. The food served was traditional Kerala food which was very good in quality and taste. There are no activities or games available at this hotel. Overall, we had a good experience here and money spent was absolutely worth it.
Overall, experience in the Hotel Bamboo Lagoon Resort was good. It is located by the side of back water. The trip was with my family for relaxation purpose. Appearance of the resort was good and furnishing was also good. No delay in check-in and check-out process. Overall, staff service was friendly and helpful. Food served to me was good in taste and quality. No activities were provided in the resort. Room allotted to me was clean, basic amenities were there and it was average. The stay was comfortable.
Bamboo Lagoon resort one of the finest resort we had in our a week of Kerala trip. The resort was located riverside with excellent views where we have to take a small boat to reach the resort. Food was quite okay but being we are vegetarian no much choices available. The staff were very kind and friendly. Overall I would rate excellent and just veg menus has to be improved.
I was going to kerala with my 6 year old daughter and since she has never been to kerala I wanted to make sure I stayed in a good hotel. bamboolagoon was that and more.... the hotel is fairly new and very well maintained. I stayed in a twin room for nearly 3 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was medium spacious and avarage furnished. The food at the hotel was amazing and reasonably priced. The highlight for me was the frindly hospitality.... The staff from the owner right down to the cook ... always smiling, friendly, courteous and very customer focussed. Nothing was too much trouble, they were happy to assist with any request.
The overall stay in Alleppey was very good thanks to the bamboo lagoon resort. The resort is very good and the hotel staff Jayachandran, vimal are very helpful.Food is very good special thanks to their chef joseph for his hospitality.
I had no problems locating this hotel because they organize the boats that are required to cross the canal to reach it. The interiors of the hotel is good for the price that they charge. They offer good food, helpful staff with prompt check-in and check-out. Good rooms and all amenities are in working condition. The hotel arranges backwater cruises in their own boats at reasonable rates. Good value for money and I would recommend this to others.
I stayed in the hotel for one night. It was my first visit to Kerala and so I wanted to have as much of the amazing backwaters as I can. I chose this hotel because of its great view and amazing reviews. I am happy that I was not dis-appointed with the hotel. The food is nice, staff is very polite and friendly, rooms are clean and the view is simply amazing!! I will definitely recommend this hotel!!
Before booking hotel for our stay at Alleppey, I did some research and found that Bamboo lagoon is a pretty good option (may be best in terms of affordability). Though different websites were offering room for 3 at Rs 2500-3000 but when I called the hotel they offered me discount. Stayed there for 1 day and found the place to be awesome. The resort is at other side of water stream and one needs to take a boat free service given by resort. Food is nice and order for that has to be given 2-3 hours prior. The resort manager is friendly and helping. They have contacts so they arranged 2 hours backwater boat trip for 1000 Rs right from the doorstep of resort. Rooms are very clean and we picked up AC room which is a combination of 2 rooms (2 AC's). Overall I will highly recommend this resort.
