If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, head to Bananki Homestay. About 350+ kms from Bangalore. Its a serene, laidback place for a lazy stay. The place is nice, rooms are decent. Gives you a sneak peak into rustic, rural charm. The food is home cooked and amazing. Book in advance and be prepared for long drive. Though the roads from Bangalore to Bananki are good.

Hotel is good. It is a nice hotel to stay with my family in summer vacation. Hotel location and appearance is fine. Rooms were fine. All the basic amenities like TV, geyser, hot water, etc. were available in the rooms. Rooms were well maintained and spacious. Food was fine. Veg and non-veg food was served at the hotel. Bonfire was available there. Services were excellent. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. I went there in May. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and other tourists.

We stayed here for 2 days, and we had the best time at the homestay. We were welcomed with an awesome homemade welcome drink. The rooms are well decorated, the bathroom is also well maintained, spacious and clean. The ambiance of the homestay is very beautiful and close to the nature. There is an ample space for the kids to play, and its also a perfect place to have a bonfire!!! Its an ideal place for families, friends and also for couples. And coming to the food, all I can say is its the best food I've ever tasted while I am away from home. The host, Arpitha, is an excellent cook and a great host. We got to taste few authentic Malnad cuisine during our stay. Both the hosts Arpitha and Rachan helped us by suggesting few beautiful sightseeing places. We had a great time at Bananki Homestay and we would love to visit again in the near future. Its like a home away from home.... P.S: There are 3 cottages outside the main house - small rooms suitable for couples. 1 big cottage suitable for families, and rooms inside the main house. Please choose your room according to your requirement. All the rooms are well maintained.

The place is a short distance from Tirthahalli and there was no problem to locate and we enjoyed our journey,The rooms were small and neatly maintained, bathroom were so neat and clean, and the food was very good, good flavour, not too spicy and just enough spread, that will allow you enjoy each one of them,Overall it was a very good stay at home away from home! Good value for money as well. I recommend this for families planning to visit Tirthahalli, Agumbe, Sringeri and Shimoga....

I had been to this place with my entire family which included my grand parents also. Since we were traveling with our old couples so we wanted some homely stay and we chose to stay here. There hospitality is superb especially the way my grand parents weer treated. My grandparents were very happy, comfortable and enjoyed the trip. The owners are very sweet people. The food also was good, not that spicy. I would suggest anybody who would want to spend time with their family inbetween the nature can go to Banaki Homestay, nothing can be better than this.

We were two families of totally 7, landed on Sept1st 2011 from Bangalore for 3 nights stay. From the moment we entered the homestay to the instant we exited, I must confess here that we were thoroughly immersed in the Hospitality, affection shown and friendlines of the soft spoken , polite Hosts Mr. Rachan & Ms. Arpita. Even today we all recall them and feel that we are away from a very close relative or kith & kin....that\'s the kind of close interaction and genuinity you would find in their services and interaction. This Homestay is Special - very spacious, hygenic, clean and uniquely centrally located admist of tons of greenery and plantations which is a perfect picnic or a family outing to cool your heels or for young adventurists as well has all the mix and blend to cater to all sections of people. This property has 10 spacious rooms and 2 amongst their living rooms ( where Mr. Rachan & Ms. Arpita Stay ) which they would offer generally for families with kids - In fact, we stayed there and our kids had a great time indeed.

Great hospitality, service and food

Hospitality, cleanliness of the homestay, quality and variety of food all are excellent. Full credit to the hosts Mr. Rachan and Mrs. Arpitha. Stayed there for 4 nights. Most of the places like Kollur, Kodachadri, Sringeri, Agumbe, Kundadri hills, Bheemanakatte, Kuvempu\'s house are equidistant. if you inform in advance that you need help to plan your tour, the host Mr. Rachan will guide. Make sure that you pack lunch all days of your sightseeing as it is difficult to find a good restaurant. Please note that they serve only local variety. if you are looking for some punjabi, chinese or north indian food then this is not the place.
