Hotel Review of Eagleton -The Golf Village
Comments: The resort is excellent and well placed for a weekend trip from Bangalore. Food, rooms, ambience and facilities are excellent. The only thing missing is the people with sensibility and that can get on your nerves. Maybe its because they get huge number of people vsiiting each day as part of the team building outings that IT companies of Bangalore day everyday and hence dont care for the weekend traveller as his Rs 10000/- for a night is nothing compared to the mollah that corportaes will send it (During our stay of one day there were 4 companies with more than 200 people doing team building outings, we just got lost in the crowd :-) ) So dont go unless your company is paying for it and you are part of the crowd as else you will have to wait in line for 40 mins to get food (We waited for 45 mins to get breakfast standing in the line as the breakfast was served along with the 200 people that had come over there for team building.
Best Experience: The ambience of the resort is excellent with the huge golf course. Make sure you only come when you company is paying the bill as otherwise your Rs 10000/- will be not be enough to get their service.
Worst Experience: We booked a 1 night package over phone. The price quoted was 8500/- even though it was not listed on the website. But on reaching there it was not to be. From there onwards started the pain as we had to explain and fight it out everytime we tried to use a facility. The icing on the cake was that we were accused of using a Pringle chips pack from the Minibar that was found open. Its funny that we had to fight for our honour for a Rs 80 Pringle chips packet when we paid Rs 10504/- for the one night stay.

This is a good weekend break from Bangalore, barely out of city limits. Highlight & virtually everything is built around the Golf course. Definitely world class facilities, one can see that Eagleton aims to be one of the top Golf holiday spots in SEA....
