Staying here was a different and good experience. The extraordinary thing that you receive here is royal feeling, ancient art glory, for two reasons. Obviously the hotel is beautiful and you really get that feeling of what it was like to live in a palace. It was the royal residence of the Maharaja of Patiala. The gardens are manicured and it was quite relaxing to hear birds. The people are warm and take care of the guest, a capable team led by Mr. Kapil Gupta. The ceilings are high with poster bed in the room. The bathroom size is equivalent to size of bed rooms in cities. Room service and housekeeping all are very good. Dinner was very nice in the restaurant downstairs which was surprisingly full with local residents enjoying a meal. Overall a royal experience. Would definitely stay there again.
I was here for a day long business trip and loved the ambience of this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful allowing me to check multiple rooms before picking one. The rooms are old royal Haveli style rooms with quaint furniture and paintings all around. Definitely has a home like feel to it and you always do get the feeling of spending your time in an ancient Haveli. The noise from the rooftop boiler/water storage device emits strange and spooky sounds at night and that did keep me awake for a while at night. Beautiful part from this, I liked the overall feel of the place, lush green garden and the breeze was just perfect. A good place for a relaxing holiday. Hotel is very good. You should visit this Hotel once.
There were not many high end hotels in Patiala, rather there were only few hotels available and among them this hotel was a really appreciable with fine and prompt services. I stayed there with my father for a week and we enjoyed a lot here. Hotel was very nice, they offered great hospitality and facilities in quite economical prices. Room's facilities were matching its price, it was very comfortable and spacious. Staff was very helpful and housekeeping was on time. Food was having limited variety available, rather mostly Punjabi and north Indian food was there to have but it was very enjoyable too. Services were full value for money paid and it was a good hotel.
The palace is converted into a hotel and is depiction of luxury enjoyed by the kings and queens in the past. The rooms and even bathrooms are so big that one can play football in the bathroom. The appearance of the hotel in the night in lights is worth seeing. The hotel is located at the centre of the city and the access to Omax Mall, Kali Temple, bus and railway stations is very good. It is very peaceful as the palace is surrounded by huge gardens. The rooms are decorated with the antique paintings painted by kings and queens. The Darbar hall of the king is converted into the dining area and the ambience is very nice.
The whole place was so luxurious property it really well managed. It was clean and calm, staff was so friendly and polite I enjoyed here so much and had a memorable stay. The place looks royal and rooms are huge in size, very well crafted rooms with modern amenities and very prompt room service was offered. Food was excellent authentic food. I had memorable stay would again visit.
