The Barkana Falls, at a height of around 850 ft, is the 11th highest waterfall in India. It is located amidst the thick and dense forest areas of the Western Ghats. The Seeta River that flows through the region forms this waterfall. The falls derives its name from ‘barka’, which refers to the mouse deer living nearby. The Barkana View Point near the falls presents beautiful views of the Ghats and its adjoining hill slopes.
