Getaway, a taj brand another best one anyone can find in Chikmagalur. It was a great place that we stayed in. Location is wonderful and well maintained. Spacious and clean rooms with good service, staffs were really courteous. Food was also not bad good.
Best Experience: Well maintained and organised.

Awesome..the location is very relaxing and mind blowing...the trees have a cool breeze, the chilled water in the pool, and hightea on the garden is really one of the best, one could ask for on a vacation
Best Experience: The cycling around the property, high on the gardens in the dusk time
Worst Experience: Nothing

"Nice Stay"

Chikmagalur is a small town which is not so attractive. But the history of the place is interesting. It is said to be the first place in India where coffee growing started. There are some interesting places in the neighbourhood, of which the temple at Belur is exquisite.
The Gateway Hotel is situated at one edge of the Chikmagalur town. The surroundings of the hotel are quite picturesque. The hospitality and service at the hotel are excellent. The tariff is a little on the higher side, otherwise I would have rated it as 7 in all the items.

Best Experience: Nice experience at Mulayangiri hill. Some of the must watch places include Mullahngiri hill (highest point in karnataka at about 8000mts above sea level),Baba Budangiri ( it was closed for some reconstruction work though), Manyakdhara, Hebbe falls, Anaconda falls ( its similar to the one shown in the anaconda film, hence the name) however if u happen to be there in rainy season then beware of leaches.
Worst Experience: looking down at Mulayangiri hill
