Bellikkal Lake

Bellikkal Lake, one of the beautiful water bodies of the destination, is located in the south of the Sigur Plateau in Tamil Nadu. Being the prime source of drinking water, the lake offers an opportunity to spot rare species of fauna and avifauna. Surrounded by lush green surroundings, the lake is often visited by the herds of elephants.

Tigers, bison, bear and deer are some of the prominent animals that can be spotted near the lake. Shrikes, bulbuls, morning doves, drongos, crow pheasants and woodpeckers can be seen at the lake,  making it a popular spot for birdwatching.
