"A very peaceful place"

Belur Math is located on the bank of the river Hooghly opposite to Dakshineswar Temple. It is in Howrah city near Bally. The place is to visited in evening and the sandhya aarti is a must see thing.

"Gain inner peace"

It would take 2 hours to go and visit the place. It is a peaceful place and you can get mental peace here. This is one of my favorite places.

Belur Math is a monastery devoted to Sri Ramakrishna. Formerly, the monastery was known as the Baranagar Math as it was sited at a place called Baranagar. However, in 1899, the monastery was shifted to Belur by Swami Vivekanada, a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. Belur Math is located just by the side of River Hooghly. Tourists mainly gather at the site to view the architectural style of this Hindu Monastery.
