Bhavani Shankara Temple is one of the popular revered places, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The shrine is set up in the Chalukya style of architecture that exhibits a fine artwork prevalent in that era.
One of the chief attractions of the temple is the inner sanctum, which features a portrait of Narayana. It is encircled by carvings on all corners that represent Dashavathara (Ten Incarnations of God).
Besides, Bhavani Shankara Temple is also linked by an ancient script that refers to a portrayal of God Surya. As per the scripture, God Surya had its abode in this place. Additionally, there is one more reference in literature that refers to the Chalukyan King, Someshwara XI (1068-1076 A.D.).
