Bhavani Villa, Danta-Ambaji
Ranked 1 of 3 hotels in Danta-Ambaji
We were looking forward to have an offbeat kind of holiday with our family group of 13 & BHAVANI VILLA thoroughly served our purpose. There were members of the age right from 1 to 70 years in our group and the VILLA had special interesting offerings for everyone – quietness, large open space, beautiful surrounding views, pet animals, homely food, lavish rooms, little tracking in forest and above all the generous hospitality of HH MAHARAJA MAHIPENDRA SINGHJI & HH MAHARANI CHANDRAJI – which made us feel like being a part of the VILLA rather than just being guests there. We were little late in planning our holiday during peak time of DIWALI but MAHARANIJI asked us to rest assured about the booking within couple of conversations only – without expediting to complete the formality. It is basically a small palace or a HAVELI situated on hillock – one portion of that has been converted for heritage home stay and royal couple stays in the other one. It has picturesque view of hills, forest and old palace on one side and the other side has calm & relaxed DANTA village. At present, they have 4 rooms to offer to guests. All rooms have spacious balcony which opens to the view of hills, forest & old palace. Bathrooms are royally spacious. There is one huge terrace before rooms – which forms a very good place for a group to have a time together with a refreshing tea. It is strongly recommended to wake up early and witness sacredness of morning atmosphere through divine chanting from temples down the hill, beautiful changes in surrounding shades with sun and morning activity of VILLA’s pet animals/birds. Company of their Siberian husky “JENNY†was a fun while roaming around in VILLA in the morning. The dog appeared like a wolf but it was very lovely & friendly. Delicious food served in breakfast – dinner becomes even tastier with the view of the PALACE, beautiful DANTA village and hillocks from the dining area on terrace. For lunch, there is one more elegant dining area inside palace, with the interior decoration of antiques. MAHARAJAJI & MAHARANIJI used to join us during meal time mostly and our group loved chatting with them on different subjects. They arranged for little tracking in the surrounding forest of the villa, which was quite rejuvenating. Wonderful moods of nature can be felt and spectacular views of DANTA village and the VILLA can be seen from uphill. Visiting their MARWARI stud farm & agriculture farm was an amazing experience. Royal couple’s passion for the activity was an example to be learnt. Having evening high tea with the royal couple at the lawns of farm added further delight to the visit. This place is quite different from other main stream hotels. One doesn’t see staff loitering for guests’ orders at any given time. There is no food menu as well because everything is cooked fresh and as per demands & likings of guests. But these were too trivial of things before generosity of host and besides waiting period can be minimized by giving requirements clearly and in little advance. Words will be scarce to write about generous hospitality of HH MAHARAJAJI & HH MARANIJI. Graciousness of host was something that puts the VILLA in special category, apart from any other monotonous hotel. Apart from wonderful experience of holiday, one gets chance to learn lots of things through discussions with multi-talented – knowledgeable MAHARAJAJI. One can not avoid being impressed by his simple & down to earth approach. MAHARANIJI’s personal supervision was quite evident in preparation of food or in preparations of rooms as per guests’ requirements. There would be no exaggeration if I mention that royal couple’s passionate efforts have added new dimension to tourism in GUJARAT.
When i came to the gujrat district i think that the place was full of sands, but the hotel and its neibouring sides are really changer my mind.It was an awsome place and the food meterials are also liked me.hotel staffs are very co-operative.The important thing is that the place was so greenish to me as considering the other places in the gujrat.
