best in the city. Excellent service, friendly staff, good owner and a nice view makes this stay a perfect homestay in coonoor. food was perfect. they served what we asked for and in a pure traditional way of cooking. Better to stay in coonoor rather than staying Ooty.
It was good resort and I stayed here in the month of July 2014. The location of the hotel and food was very good. the rooms were good and they had a trucking and camp fair facility. The service was good and the appearance of the hotel well maintained. There was no any delay in check in and check out process.
Hotel was conveniently located for me. Staff behaviour was friendly and helpful with us in that hotel. Look wise, it was attractive and good. It was located outside the city. There was an open good space it was good. Room was spacious, neat and clean. All provided amenities like AC, TV, geyser, etc. were working well there. There was no delay at the time of check in and check out process. View of mountain was available from the room it was good. They provided normal Indian food there. Both veg and non-veg food was available in the hotel. Buffet system was there. It was value for our money and recommendable also. Everything was good so no suggestion was there. No activity was available. Vehicle was arranged by them for sightseeing. It was a relax kind of holiday with family in 2012.
The stay at Bison Country was more than one could even dream of. We chose this destination to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. As we entered the premises, we were greeted by Front Office staff who gave us a welcome drink and showed us our room. The room was elegantly decorated keeping in mind the minutest detail. You could also watch a good English classic in the DVD provided in the room as the hotel had a fairly good collection of them. The staff showed us around the resort and the individual cottages had a frontal view opening to lush tea gardens where you could see the clouds flying past and also a few wild animals if you were lucky. The food was par excellence and our hunger increased by almost 200%. The 3 days at the resort gave us a taste of different cuisine and sweet dishes which had immaculate taste. The wild animals as brown rabitts, guinea pigs to turkeys, white swan to Campbell ducks made us feel that we were in natural habitat and not in a resort. We could enjoy indoor chess or carrom or outdoor badminton match to stay fit. Fresh towels with gentle fragrance, shampoo and natural soaps added to the freshness of our stay at the resort. It was simply magical.
Its a resort owned and managed by an ex army officer. The rooms are nice with its own tea coffee making facilities. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking. lpcatipn is in the cantonment area of conoor and if you are looking for market places its not the right choice. the set up is picturesque
Overall experience was really good. Had a small cottage experience admist beautiful hills of Coonoor. Though me and Sameer had been there in the year 2010 and visited many places after this, we still cherish those memories in Bison Country.. A decent place to stay...
its like a reallocation ambiance but the difference you could only dream of something like this, the stay is brilliant , the staff was very helpfull, the food was fab, the stay was of brilliance ,
My husband and I are very satisfied that we decided on this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Lots of privacy, excellent ambience, lovely romantic walks in the forest, and the Raliah Dam is fabulous. The staff are extremely polite and the food was to our liking. What we appreciated most are the hosts, Col. and his wife, who were there and entertained us with stories about the surrounding wilderness, and early morning showed us a herd of bisons through the binocular. There is a very professional telescope to see the stars on a clear nite and it was really fabulous. We could even hear the barking deer in the evenings.
It was a great stay in Bison Country. Did not miss home food and the warmth of home even during those cold winter days. Owners of Bison Country were very friendly and helpful. Our 1 year old baby too enjoyed the stay. Rooms were clean. Food was tasty, home made and hygienic. Great view from cottages. Caretaker Kumar and his wife are very good and prompt at serving guests at any time. We also had great company of other guests at homestay.
Its a perfect destination for honeymooners and couples who want to relax and unwind and feel the nature at its best.
very good experience for a family week end break. staff are very courteous and caring. food provided is of very good quality. rooms are clean, and extra beds are provided in the cottage on call. its a bit away from the main town towards wellington, and any sight seeing must be by bus or local taxis. there are plenty of tourist attractions that gives a person quite solitude, away from the commercial hustle and bustle. good place for trekking. place can be used as a base for going around the tourist locations. overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Bison County
