I had been to this hotel in the month of November 2016. It was my official trip with my husband. I would rate the destination of the hotel very good where I liked many places. The hotel location is very good as it was in the heart of the city and near all tourist places. My hotel appearance ratings would be very good it looks like villa type but was not able to see the look from outside. The front office was excellent because they were well behaved and they take care of customer very much. The service in the hotel was very good as the service was quick. I would rate room as excellent since the balcony view was good, very clean and spacious. They provided complimentary breakfast which was very taste and I would rate excellent. Lunch and dinner he had outside. I booked the room through online. Overall a very good hotel.

We loved the interior decor and ambience. The steep winding climbs to and forth to the restaurant was great in whipping up a appetite. The misty mountain air and the comfy cabin is a boon for getting warm cuddly with one\'s gf ;) and last but not least...wonderful service!!!!
We went for a quick honeymoon without any planning or booking any resorts or hotels, checked out many hotels but didn\'t like it, as soon as we went down the slope to the resort we liked it, it was a mesmerizing experience. the road to the resort, the entrance the cottages the location, the rooms everything was fantastic.
Me and my wife visited Blackberry Hills resort, Munnar on our honeymoon during August. Forgive me for writing such a late review. The resort looked promising from the pictures on line and good reviews. I had called up Prince and she was very helpful. We reached the place early in the morning and were treated very nicely upon arrival. They made us feel welcome and were very accommodating to our adhoc requests. The rooms were good, the bathrooms were clean and well kept. They had 24 hr hot water service. The terrain is a bit unfriendly towards those with knee problems and old age. The sissal spa treatments were awesome. The most apt feature of this resort is, they make you feel at ease and are flexible to meet our needs. The employees were really good esp Suneesh in particular was very helpful. The food at Hornbill was truly world class. I was a bit skeptical abt the food at first, but after the first morsel went in i knew i was in for treat. The non veg food was really good and a standard was maintained. All in all we had a wonderful time.Thank you for a such wonderful memories.
Its a saying "The first impression is the last impression". This hotel proves this quote right. The hotel reception was very courteous & warm in welcoming. The welcome drink energises & heatens your body making you feel comfortable in the cold weather. As you walk down to your villa, you can witness the built of the resort among the nature. The entire resort is built on the slope of a hill where you tumble down running while going from reception to room, and is like mountain climbing when you have to come the other way. The hotel offers umbrella because of the mist & the unexpected rain. Walking under the umbrella adds to the romantic ambiance. As it was my honeymoon trip, the hotel had arranged for a flower bed & candle light with additional charge. No doubt the hotel and its services were remarkably very good. North Indian food was good. The resort is one of the best place for a couple/family trip. The room offered to was deluxe, which did not had that great view of the hills, however on request, the management upgraded the room with no cost. Appreciate that. Talking about Munnar, its a great to place, on your way you cross numerous falls, can have an elephant ride. There are many locations where you can get elephant ride, so don't get persuaded when you see the first bill board of elephant ride. You can watch the hyenas, which is a sort of trekking. Also we got a change to watch bharatnatyam & martial arts which was a great experience. Overall I strongly recommend to visit Blackberry in Munnar, its worth of it.
We traveled as a family of 4 (two kids under 10) and stayed at Blackberry for two nights. Initially we missed the turn from the main road to the small bridge (didn't see the sign coming from Munnar town side) and had to turn around after 4 kms. Coming from the other side (Cochin), we could see the board before the turn and thereafter it was easy to reach the resort. The USP of the place is their spa services and the way the rooms/cottages have been built on the hill side. They are a bit tedious to reach from the reception (downhill) and "very" tedious to return from (uphill), but we found that enjoyable in a way. The cottages themselves are very comfortable, spacious and well appointed. The views of the valley and farther hills from the balcony were lovely and it was amazing to see the fog 'ascending' from the valley below and slowly enveloping us. Food and the restaurant staff deserve a special mention. The breakfast and dinner buffets had sufficient options (we didn't try lunch at the resort) and we found the food to be delicious and not too oily. The kids (usually very fussy) also ate well and the staff was very polite and unobtrusive, yet very helpful. Would like more dessert options in the buffet though. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and highly recommend the place.
