When we thought of taking a break from the busy life to Wayanad, there was only Blooms in our mind as many of my friends were appreciating their stay there recently. Kenichira where Blooms is located, is on the Panamaram-Nadavayal-Beenachi Road (Sulathan Bathery - Manathody Road which runs with a deviation to the left from Beenachi junction). Ease of accessibility from the NH 212 is an added advantage of Blooms as it is just 16 Km from Sulthan Bathery. When we called up Blooms, Ms. Priya Annie Paul interacted with us and collected all the details for arranging a comfortable stay there. Ms Priya was literally online, giving us all the directions till we reached Blooms which is really appreciable. We reached at the Blooms a bit late because of the holding up at the Muthanga Check post for about two hours. Ms. Priya was just waiting to receive us there and quickly allotted the rooms as we all were hungry. The way we were welcomed to the Blooms, to the rooms and later to the dining area was enough to make us feel so homely and that we are at the perfectly right place. The rooms were well arranged with clean linens and all basic facilities. The dining area was nicely arranged and you will never feel unattended at any point of time as they all are very keen to express their hospitality which really lacks at many of the other prominent resorts. The food they served to us it was awesome & I don't have words to express it. It was really exquisite with the special garnishing with their hospitality. They proved that food can be prepared so deliciously outside homes. Appreciate the Chefs Mr. Jose and Mr.Reji for treating our taste buds so appreciably. After a short spell of rest, we had a round through the area which is well managed, neat and clean. The picturesque landscapes trees and water body will surely steal your sight. When we came back, tea was ready for us and chairs arranged in the lawn for to sit after the us. we had a nice time in the lawn with songs from our children. After a refreshing bath, we were served with dinner which was again a super specialty. Taste is awesomely superb and more than that to mention was the way they serve and attend us. Mr.Rijin, Mr.Suneesh, Mr.Mahesh and all were super courteous. With that quality dinner and hospitality, we could not afford to sit long after the dinner as we usually do, but retired to bed as early as possible. Got up at 0600 Hrs and had a walk around the Blooms to see plenty of birds welcoming the rising sun. Mild fog all around added to the scenic beauty of the place. Rani, the Blooms's lovely elephant came down to the lawn to get the routine jaggery and banana. She was so friendly and adorable, posed with all for photographs. After a homely breakfast, we were ready at 0900 Hrs for a sight-seeing trip of Wayanad. Ms. Priya explained with the map, the important nearby tourist places we can cover in one day. After a tiresome journey, we were back to Blooms at 1900 Hrs. We had one more chance to taste the delicacies from Mr.Jose and Mr.Reji during dinner time. Though all were tired after the whole day out we enjoyed the moments with pass-time games till midnight before retiring to bed. This morning was very special as we have to start our retreat journey by 1030 Hrs. The breakfast was typical Kerala styled "Chiratta Puttu and kadala kari" tasting great. After the breakfast we had a full round of the farm with the help of their caretaker. We felt the unique cordial relationship between the man, animals and the nature there. Rani, the elephant was looking so elegant and proud to pose with us for the photographs. we all loved the moments spend with her. It was really sad that the moments passed so quickly and we have to return. Promising that we will be back soon for a longer spell, we started our return journey at 1100 Hrs. There are no words to express the feeling we had there. The whole team of Blooms deserve the best of appreciations for the treat they offered us during our stay there. No doubt that I will recommend all who wishes to have a peaceful stay at Wayanad, Blooms is your destiny, don't ever miss it.
How I forgot to write a review here. Already written 2 reviews on other sites and hospitality and the service of this place prompts me to review it here too. Its the Gem of a place and the perfect place to unwind yourself away from the din of a city. Spread over a lavish greenery it has all the components to make your stay the most memorable one. Stayed here earlier and this month my sister stayed here on my recommendation and their experience is as great as mine. The owner Johny and his team are the best bunch of people to come across. Right from the time you make your inquiry till the time you have departed from this place, this team will go to all lengths to make it the most memorable stay. The bungalows are spacious and free WiFi adds to the comfort. Food is yummy and they take great pain in trying to incorporate your suggestion, if any. Badminton court is there to unwind or just relax on the reclining chair outside the bungalows. All in all a must visit location and definitely worth trying the next time you plan your vacation.
I would like to thank Priya for the ease of booking and the blooms Team, especially the ever smiling Manu and his smiling team for making our stay a real memorable experience. The only bruise was a small issue with the taxi driver Sumesh during sight-seeing. I stayed in Kerala for 11 days in 3 star resorts but the stay at Blooms was the best. My family still says that Blooms treated us more like their family members and not as guests or customers. The food quality, quantity and taste was way ahead of other resorts, infact there is no match at all. Manu and his team feeded us very happily and we never had the feeling of being away from home. I would like to appreciate the lady who served us food very happily & fondly, sorry I forgot her name. Her refusal for a tip saying they are paid enough really touched my heart. Thanks a ton again for such a warm stay at Blooms. We really had tears while leaving. Please keep up the good work, hope the food & service will not deteriorate. Hope to come back again.
The hotel is excellent. The villas were great. We had a wonderful time there. Enjoyed a lot.The service is excellent. The food was nice.
