Bombay Point is also known as Sunset point, as tourists visit this place to see the varied shades of the setting sun. The place has a large open space, which incorporates a bandstand. This point is an ideal picnic spot and is one of the oldest vantage points in Mahabaleshwar. To the left Bombay Point, lies the lover’s point of Mahabaleshwar.

The view from this point is majestic, they also have a binocular system in place (free) for tourists. Eatables (varieties) available, platforms built for resting and tree shades available for relaxing.

"Famous as a sunset point"

  • 5.00/7

This is a place for the summers and winters. You won't get anything at this place in the rainy season. This place is famous as a sunset point so you can guess which season is best to go there.

"Sunset point"

  • 4.50/7

Very popular sunset point. Shows the Sahyadri range, Koyana Valley & Pratap Garh. The taxi driver takes you to this point through a 'kachcha' road. The view from there is fantastic. You can find Amazon kind of forests below. Since the temple 'aarti' starts after 7:30 pm, you can sit and watch sunset from this point.

The view from there is fantastic. You can find Amazon kind of forests below. Since the temple arthi starts after 7:30 pm, you can sit and watch sunset from this point. There were locals in katcha panche playing cricket nearly.
