Have planned a trip to Mysore as a mini-honeymoon for a couple of days. 24-hour check-in was so inviting for someone who had to travel about 12 hours to reach Mysore (from Chennai). Best Points (Service, Amenities, Features): 1. Close to bus stand, though one needs to take an auto drive lasting to about 10 minutes. Since we love taking a walk in evenings, after checking out, we found out that the distance from hotel to bus terminus is just around 25 minutes. 2. Since it is behind Chamundeshwari Talkies (a prominent landmark), every auto-rickshaw driver knows this location and charges less. 3. The front-desk staff are courteous and understand our needs. Since I had booked it already, by just mentioning my name, we got into the room in not more than 5 minutes from the time of our arrival. 4. The front-desk executive even booked a taxi for us and made sure it was economical and ready by the time we freshened up and rested for a little while. He also advised on various sight-seeing locations in and around Mysore. The driver was also courteous and we managed to see 2 new places more than our day\'s plan (since I had been to Mysore several times, had planned to visit 4 places that day and ended up seeing 6 without any tiredness) 5. Beds were neat and did not have any bad stench. 6. The room-service boy handed over the TV remote and even got us some water right after we entered the room. 7. There are enough cupboards and shelves to store things. The fans are properly functional (picked a non-ac room since it was already cooler month) and room also has warm and soothing lighting. 8. The soap and shampoo were freshly available in toilets and the cleanliness of toilets are remarkable, especially as we both are picky about toilet comforts. Hot water was flowing round the clock rendering peace to us. 9. Got a room with a huge window and had lots of natural light flowing into the room. 10. The area of the hotel is residential area and thus very peaceful in the nights. Word of Advice: 1. The hotel is in prime location and therefore it is wise to call them and book the room in advance (I booked before 15 days in off-season). Otherwise availability would become a question. 2. While hotel takes care of providing hot drinking water, there is no boarding services and therefore one has to venture out to get food. However, the good news is that there are many nice restaurants within a range of 2 to 10 minute walk. The front-desk or room service staff give guidance to the best eat-outs nearby. 3. It is wise not to venture out of hotel premises late nights, especially not along with a lady; as there are few bars in the neighboring streets with drunkards planting fear in the minds. However, this is a peaceful area to stay. Overall Rating: Since this is Mysore, one would not expect hotels to provide in-house activities as rendered by resorts and therefore my rating would be 6.5 out of 7 for Bombay Tiffanys\' hotel. Enjoy the stay!
