"Comfortable stay without boarding services"

6.6/7
Posted 8 Jul, 2013

Have planned a trip to Mysore as a mini-honeymoon for a couple of days. 24-hour check-in was so inviting for someone who had to travel about 12 hours to reach Mysore (from Chennai). Best Points (Service, Amenities, Features): 1. Close to bus stand, though one needs to take an auto drive lasting to about 10 minutes. Since we love taking a walk in evenings, after checking out, we found out that the distance from hotel to bus terminus is just around 25 minutes. 2. Since it is behind Chamundeshwari Talkies (a prominent landmark), every auto-rickshaw driver knows this location and charges less. 3. The front-desk staff are courteous and understand our needs. Since I had booked it already, by just mentioning my name, we got into the room in not more than 5 minutes from the time of our arrival. 4. The front-desk executive even booked a taxi for us and made sure it was economical and ready by the time we freshened up and rested for a little while. He also advised on various sight-seeing locations in and around Mysore. The driver was also courteous and we managed to see 2 new places more than our day\'s plan (since I had been to Mysore several times, had planned to visit 4 places that day and ended up seeing 6 without any tiredness) 5. Beds were neat and did not have any bad stench. 6. The room-service boy handed over the TV remote and even got us some water right after we entered the room. 7. There are enough cupboards and shelves to store things. The fans are properly functional (picked a non-ac room since it was already cooler month) and room also has warm and soothing lighting. 8. The soap and shampoo were freshly available in toilets and the cleanliness of toilets are remarkable, especially as we both are picky about toilet comforts. Hot water was flowing round the clock rendering peace to us. 9. Got a room with a huge window and had lots of natural light flowing into the room. 10. The area of the hotel is residential area and thus very peaceful in the nights. Word of Advice: 1. The hotel is in prime location and therefore it is wise to call them and book the room in advance (I booked before 15 days in off-season). Otherwise availability would become a question. 2. While hotel takes care of providing hot drinking water, there is no boarding services and therefore one has to venture out to get food. However, the good news is that there are many nice restaurants within a range of 2 to 10 minute walk. The front-desk or room service staff give guidance to the best eat-outs nearby. 3. It is wise not to venture out of hotel premises late nights, especially not along with a lady; as there are few bars in the neighboring streets with drunkards planting fear in the minds. However, this is a peaceful area to stay. Overall Rating: Since this is Mysore, one would not expect hotels to provide in-house activities as rendered by resorts and therefore my rating would be 6.5 out of 7 for Bombay Tiffanys\' hotel. Enjoy the stay!

"Excellent care-taker"

On a holiday trip I visited Mysore with my family in the month of May 2017. I reserved a room at this hotel through online. Rooms were very good with the maintenance. We stayed there only for 1 night. We took the non-AC room. It was like a normal room. It had basic amenities like TV beds fans. It was clean and comfortable. The ventilation was good. The bathroom was neat and clean. The room service was good and they were on time. The hotel region was good as it was located in the main area. It was easy to locate and convenient to reach. It was nearby to the Mysore Palace and Zoo. The reception staff was excellent with the administration. At the time when we checked-in was midnight. The manager was a very cool person. He had arranged some food for us at that time. I liked his service. They completed the booking formalities on time. They were cooperative and very friendly. The hotel look was good with the attractive look. It was well maintained with the interior and exterior looks. Overall it was splendid. There were no fun amenities in that hotel. We took food facility and it was little costly. We took chapati and panner food items for dinner. It was a room service. They served it hot and on time. The overall service was good and very satisfactory. Our stay was very comfortable so I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. If I visit Mysore again I will stay only at this boarding house. I liked it so much.

"No disturbance - had a good time"

5.5/7

On a holiday trip I traveled to Mysore with my family in the month of May 2017. I booked a room at this hotel directly when we reached the destination. Rooms were very clean and had a neat atmosphere. There was no disturbance from outside. The ambience was good and attractive. Everything was perfect with the minimum facilities in proper condition. But TV was not working properly. The washrooms were neat and dry. Overall it was good. The room service was good and they provided an immediate response on time whenever we required any services. The front desk staff was excellent in completing the booking process on time. They were pleasant and had a good communication level. They were cooperative and responded very well. They guided us very well and informative. The location of the hotel was good as it was in the middle of the town. It was nearby to the tourist and sightseeing places. It was easily accessible to public transportations. Restaurants and shopping centers also. The appearance was very good with the attractive looks. It was well maintained with the cleanliness. We didn't take food ability in that hotel. We had food outside. There were no extra benefits in that hotel. The overall service was excellent and very well behaved with us. Our stay was very comfortable so I will recommend this hotel to other travelers also. I indicate the hotel management to improve the room basic facilities properly.

We visited Mysore with my family on a holiday trip in the month of May 2017. I booked a room at this hotel directly when we reached the spot. The hotel region was good as it was in the city center. It was nearby to the bus stand and it was easy to take an auto. It was convenient to reach. It was a calm and peaceful place. The appearance was good with the overall looks. It had simple looks with neatly maintained. We stayed only for 1 night. It was excellent with all the basic amenities in proper conditions. It was a normal room. It cost Rs. 2000/- per day. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was neat and clean. Hot water facility was available in the bathroom. The room service was good. The front desk was excellent with the hospitality. The booking process was done on time. They were cordial and friendly in nature. They responded on time. The area was kept clean. They didn't make us wait. I liked their service. We didn't take food facility and there were no fun amenities in that hotel. Lift facility was available. The overall service was good and satisfactory. Our stay was comfortable so I will suggest this hotel to other travelers also. I indicate the hotel management to arrange the door locks on top. Because the kids easily open the door when the lock was in the middle of the door.
