This little village can boast of Shivkumar's Panipuri where the chaat is all very freshly made and really tasty! The best wadis are also available here unlike the big batatavadas of Mumbai these are small, spicy and fantastic to eat.They are made of a special 'masala' that all the shops selling the wadis know and they are hot and crisp and best eaten with a small pav which is alo supplied by these sellers. If you want dessert after the wadis and chaat but the local chickoos, or lithchis (if you are there in May) and enjoy.

Hotel Review of MTDC Tent Resort Bordi
Comments: Its a very easy place to reach. Just about 21/2 hours drive from Thane. Road conditions upto the resort is good. The Resort though a small one, is ideal for couples to free their selves. Enjoy the good food, especially Chicken Lollypop & Dal Fry. The ideal time to visit is during winters. The major drawback is there is no electricity for major part of the day, but if you are an outdoor enthusiast, then that is not of any hinderance. Overall experience was very good, & surely visit again
Best Experience: Good flat beach, good food, good concept of A/c tent.
Worst Experience: Please carry a mosquito coil alongwith yourself

the tents are situated right on the beach, an elevated ones. the view of beach/ sunset can be enjoyed even from the bed of the posh tents. these tents (actually not a tent) even have their attach bathrooms. the service is ok keeping in mind , its afterall a govt. run resort. the staff and management are not flexible. but the local cook cooks some amazing konkan dishes. it would be adviced to carry your own booze as the brands...

Dahanu/Bordi is an excellent location for an extended weekend gataway.Leisure and relaxation is the name of the game here.I had the time of my life just lazing around/walking on the beach and visiting the nearby 'chickoo' orchards.Good place to tame your nerves!...
