Overall I'm fully satisfied with Lonavala trip,
Lonavala is very beautiful city.as a traveller I was very much happy for traveling to lonavala. The bushy dam is fabulous. Outstanding nature in lonavala .the area is covered under rain always that was too good for a traveller.anyone loves to enjoy the rain .the waterfall are fabulous.so lonavala is very much beautiful city to travel.and enjoyment is double when rain is on..so go to lonavala for thrilling, romantic, lovely experience.
Nice picnic spot
IT IS ADVISABLE TO COME DURING MONSOON TIME ONLY TO ENJOY THE LUSH GREENERY AND FRESH SMELL OF RAIN ..SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES IS FISHING OR JUST PICKICKING....
Little water body
Not big enough to see by tourist. If you are visiting any other water place in lonavala then no need to visit this place. I would recommend pawna lake instead of bhushi dam. No boating or water sports carried out in bhushi dam. You have to do little treck to reach bhushi dam. It is on the way if you are visiting tiger point (lion's point). Small place with nothing much to do.
Waterfall on stairs
It is the first kind of lake with step waterfall I have ever seen. Need to cross two small lakes to reach to the waterfall. On weekend, it is mostly crowded. Snacks are served on the Waterfall. I went in September, the weather was quiet good that point of time. It feels awesome to lie down on the stairs and get drenched in the overflooded dam water. People charge Rs 20 for changing clothes.
Bushy dam is situated near Lonavala, road leading to which are snakey and worth driving. One has to cross a pond like stretch to reach bushy dam so wear only slippers. Do not wear shoes. Alternatively slippers are available on rent.Bushy dam has a reservoir and water flows through a number of steps giving it a beautiful and refreshing look. Carry extra pair of clothes if one wants to indulge in bathing. Overall worth visit, especially during Monsoon.
A major attraction during monsoon, a must be place to visit in Monsoon. Very crowded during weekends so plan in advance and reach there early morning. Very pleasant climate to be with family and friends. Carry some warm clothes and additional pair of clothes as you will need it after a refreshing bath under the waterfalls.
Best place to visit in monsoon near Mumbai
Bhushi Dam is one of the best places to visit in monsoon near Mumbai! Located approximately at a distance of 90kms from Mumbai, Bhushi dam is an awesome place to hangout when it is raining heavily & the dam is overflowing.
Good weekend getaway
Bushi Dam is located a few kilometers from Lonavala and is a very popular weekend hangout. When the Bushi dam overflows, the water flows over a steps and then over some easily accessible rocky terrain. The terrain and the water make for a fun combination and this is why Bushi dam gets extremely crowded on weekend. So crowded, that a first time visitor would be left searching for the steps which everyone talks about, only to realize that every inch of the steps have been occupied. - See more at: http://lonavala-guide.com/places-to-see-around-lonavala/bushi-dam-lonavala/#sthash.peUgSZeE.dpuf
Good place to visit
Superb . One should only visit this place in mansoon when it overflow. Enjoy relaxing moments with tea and corn. However, for visitors who are travelling with little kids /toddlers need attention, because of rain in mansoon and handling in water and rocky pathways. Not to wear leather shoes/ heels. Chapels/ slipper are ok.
Must visit in Monsoon
The time we visited was in the month of May, which was a dry, drought season with literally no water in the Dam. We were slightly disappointed as we could not enjoy the beauty of this place. No visitors during this month. Its better to visit this destination in the monsoon season as there will be plenty of water.
