Calangute is Very crated beach. There are plays all water riding, jetsky, bumper, benana, speed boad, dolphin riding. Now all rides rate is fixed depending on persons. Don't allow any brokers. There is a fixed tickit counter available for ride. There are lots of Beach side resturent. Bengali and Punjabi travellers are like this beach. Baga beach is walking distance from this beach.

"Crowd with unnecessary stares."

  • 4.0/7
  • Posted Feb 11, 2017
Calangute is one of the famous and tourist location but I have been there almost thrice and never liked it. The beach is like too crowdy no place to sit no place to relax and no peace of mind and somehow tourist will scan and stare at you completely irrespective of what you wear shorts longs anything. Avoid it rather Baga beach is far more better if you enter from Anthony's shack the end. Very relaxing, quite and peaceful.

We visited during evening time and spent almost 2 hrs just enjoying the seen all around. The most pleasing part was the sunset and the way entire turns up to be ... Food is expensive in entire area. If you gonna do any shopping please better bargain aggressively otherwise you will end up paying above the value

"Most famous tourist attraction"

  • 6.0/7

Calangute beach one of the busiest beaches in North Goa and is donned by shacks and multiple restaurants and bars. The pathway leading to the beach is surrounded by all kinds of tattoo shops, clothing, accessories, etc. There are number of water sports activities which can be used by the tourists but be sure to bargain as the prices first quoted are pretty steep.

"Goan Beaches"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Aug 27, 2016
It was a mesmerising experience.

The serenity and occasional high tides of Arabian sea was a treat to watch.

Beach side food joint served delicious sea food.

Overall it was an experience of lifetime.

I will recommend a Goa visit for everyone to see the white sand beaches and churches and the local Goan dishes and that too at nominal package rates as compared to the hefty foreign beach packages.
