"Most famous tourist attraction" new review

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted 2 weeks ago
Calangute beach one of the busiest beaches in North Goa and is donned by shacks and multiple restaurants and bars. The pathway leading to the beach is surrounded by all kinds of tattoo shops, clothing, accessories, etc. There are number of water sports activities which can be used by the tourists but be sure to bargain as the prices first quoted are pretty steep.

"Goan Beaches" new review

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted 1 month ago
It was a mesmerising experience.

The serenity and occasional high tides of Arabian sea was a treat to watch.

Beach side food joint served delicious sea food.

Overall it was an experience of lifetime.

I will recommend a Goa visit for everyone to see the white sand beaches and churches and the local Goan dishes and that too at nominal package rates as compared to the hefty foreign beach packages.

"Calangute beach is cleaner than Baga"

  • 5.5/7

One of the many popular beaches of Goa. Best time to visit is from September to March, when shacks are open and one can enjoy the meal on the beach with Beer/Drinks.

Water sports are available too.

"World famous beach"

  • 5.0/7

Calangute beach is world famous so it's too crowded 90% to 95% tourist visit and enjoy sea swimming and Bath on this beach. You will found mix category people you will found on the beach with heavy drinks, Non dinks. Some time you might feel insecure with very heavy drunk people. May be sometime you have to pass through bad experience also.

"Calangute beach - most happening in Goa"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted May 15, 2016
Calangute beach is the most happening beach in Goa when you enter the beach you will see its beauty and water sports which are done mostly there by all people.

Music on the beach is continuously going on so when you enter the area you feel to dance this music is provided by hotels which have shacks in front of them and serve good food also. We were there till 8 o'clock but still the beach was full and all were enjoying it. Near the beach there is a market area called calangute market but it's costly. We just loved the beach life.

However, this Beach is not suitable for Romantic people as it is completely crowded. But if you want to do some water activities and hang out with your friends, this is one of the greatest place to visit.

"A beautiful and busy beach"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted May 11, 2016
This beach is awesome and beautiful with very clear water and very neat environment. It's one of the best beaches in Goa considering its cleanliness and the availability of lot of resorts near by. This beach is having lot of water sports activities as well and one of the best for water sports like water scooter and para sailing. However the beach will be very crowded even in season and that too at noon or so. If you are planning for a peaceful beach visit this is not what you should look for.

"Good place to visit"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted Apr 17, 2016
Good place to visit, crowd is bit less compared to Baga but in a way its good. So many shacks for the foodies in you. Most of them are good, but we ate at Topsy's the first one on left.

Beach is clean, always being patrolled by life-guards and a jeep. Beach feels safe, though we haven't went to deep. Activities are available like various rides.

Nearby market on calangute beach is big one, lot of variety to choose from for shopping, food, drinks etc.

Good option is to stay nearby this beach and then visit others as and when you feel like. But this is always the one where you should keep going

"Don't Eat food"

  • 3.0/7

The set up on the beach will compel to try out having dinner on the sea shore. Please don't even try. The darkness would conceal what is been served. Also the cost is high. Music is so loud that it disturbes.

We enjoyed water sports and had bath. Enjoyed food and drink as well. Lots of hotels nearby beach, so no need of any transportation for beach. Go Goa and enjoy great hospitality.
